PCKLE

Design-, vintage or just beautiful items of all kind. A lot of brutalist pieces which I love most myself. Mostly used items in good condition.

From vases to candle holders, lamps to bracelets, vinyl records to skimboard. As long as it's beautiful.

I have a weak spots for chairs, always had. I've owned and sold dozens and now wish I kept some of them. Unfortunately, chairs take up a lot of space.
Unless it's a folding chair.
Found this vintage example yesterday. Never seen this one before but it caught my eye.
A sturdy, fire engine red, plastic "Flair Plaisir", Pizzicato folding chair from the '70's.

Another stunning find, the "Adler Tippa S" typewriter in beautiful and good working condition. This typewriter is partly known because of pictures of Stanley Kubrick using a Tippa S on the set of The Shining. This is the 3rd vintage typewriter I've found in a few months. If I had the space I'd start collecting them l. But alas, this one will also be sold.

The lovely things you can find in thrift stores. Look at this never used, 1960's or '70s school bag. What a find.
So sorry I do not have a use for it myself....

You do find the occasional vintage porcelain cup and saucer or, if lucky, a few more. But a complete set of twelve in such a beautiful condition is a rare find.

This set is by "Royal Duchess", I believe to be a Bavarian company. There is an easier to find set called the "Mountain Bell pattern".

This set of twelve is hand painted.

Found these 2 yesterday.

The white vase I just really liked the form, it's design. I wouldn't be surprised if it's modern. I do believe I've seen the mark on the bottom before but can't find anything on it.

The blue flowerpot is a new one for me. We're all familiar with West Germany pottery but I never heard from a company called "Vetter", new to me. And I've never seen this flower pot before. Can't find much on the internet either. So, of someone has any info on either of these, please leave them in the comments.

This definately screams vintage!
A white/orange/brown cup and saucer. Although it's just one, I could not resist. It looks so quintessential '70s to me.
Cup and saucer by "Moulin des Loups" France.

I'm not a big tin guy but like to think I know a good one when I see it. Like these 3 for example. The square one is a fairly common Dutch '60s "Bolletje" tin. Nothing to special but still lovely.
The green one is a bit more special. This vintage tin is designed by Ethel von Horn for "ira" Denmark. They come in all sizes and shapes but I've never found one before.
The red one stood out to me because of it's design (80s?) It does feel typical 80's to me. This tin is produced by "Simel Vich" in Spain.

They're all for sale.

It's rare to find these vintage pastry sets as complete as this one is. 11 Pieces in total.
Funny enough these do not sell as well as you would think but I can't imagine nobody would want these. Just look at the beautiful colors. Deep green, black and bronze.
Brand and maker unknown.
The set is in near mint condition.

From a wonderful little haul 2 days ago.
Visited an unknown thrift store which had a lovely assortment of stuff for stupidly low prices.
This one I 'll keep for myself.
A funky handmade vintage pillow in great condition.

Lovely thrift store find, this little handpainted Scheurich Foreign 244-17 vase.
These little gems are increasingly difficult to find in thrift stores because they are more and more aware of what's collectible and what's not.

I love these vintage, Art Deco style, French glass sundae coupes. Love the shape, the weight, the style. Not very difficult to imagine these filled with vanilla ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream and chocolate.
Spring is in the air.

To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the oriental style.
But, the quirky stuff that catches my eye has to come home with me.
Like this vintage, hexagonal umbrella stand for example. With its fake bamboo sticks and fake bamboo woven sides. I believe this would look great in any eclectic interior.

I always check the glasses when thrifting. I've found quite a few beautiful, vintage sunglasses that way.
These are not.

A lovely thrift store find from a few months ago. A "VICTORY "V" LOZENGES AND GUM" tin with an oriental motif, circa 1920. It shows it's age.
A rare and special find nonetheless.

Another fun find.
Brooches do net sell as well as bracelets do but still, if I find them, like them and the price is right, I'll buy them.
This is a particular nice find. The well known "Parrot Brooch" by the Danish company Buch + Deichmann. Made in the '70's.

I love vintage in various forms. Bracelets is one of them. Especially the 60's/70's copper enameled ones but if something else catches my eye I'm in.
These are the latest finds.

How about this for today's thrift store find!

A beautiful Framus acoustic guitar. Model number is a bit unclear to me, looks like it says Model 74 I or 74 L. But I also found a very similar looking 1975 "Framus 05001 Dix" on the internet.
Anyone?

It came in a sturdy vintage case in lovely condition.
Not sure what my next step will be. I think I'll probably sell it.

Nothing screams vintage more than a "Atoomenergie? Nee bedankt" sticker. 😆

I'm a sucker for vintage tableware like these Arcopal France cups and saucers. I think it's the milky glass combined with the vibrant colors of the flowers. It's also the size of these cups and saucers that tickle my fancy. Not too small not too big.
Just perfect.

For Sale!
€8,- for the two.
DM if interested.

Todays lovely thrift store find.

Two vintage (1970 - 1975) glass vases by František Pečeny for Huta Hermanova Hut, model 20211.

František Pečeny is mostly known for his so called "candle wax" vase. He belongs to the first generation of glassmakers who started to work on pressed glass after the war. Pečeny studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Prague and in 1947 became an artist for Hermanova Hut (part of the "Sklo Union" group).

For Sale.
€ 24,50 per vase.

DM if interested.

Beautiful vintage Dutch rusk/biscuit tin.
I love the colors and design on this particular example. It really reminds me of these Russian 1930's propaganda posters.

This tin is by "Turkstra Beschuit"
