It was a very successful and informative day. The team was immensely impressed by the professionalism of the instructors, as well as the extent of what they covered in the training. Nothing short of mind-blowing!

What impressive experiences have you had during training?

WE ARE BACK.
After a couple of months of supporting the Monkeyshoot Studios team with the development work on the exciting "Day Six" feature movie and the ex*****on work on the short movie "The Reluctant Informant" -- stories which have been made from, by and with multiple Dutch military veterans -- we're happy to get back to the Green Heart HQ.

And what better way to get back into the regular working rhythms than to introduce some of the core team who make it happen?

These are a few of the talented professionals behind the workings and the cameras of the GREEN HEART label. Hard-working people who have a deep passion for both the job and the military lives with which we intersect -- and whom are thrilled to help tell the stories behind GREEN HEART. Stories we are gradually sharing more.

THE TALE - The story is a special preview scene for the exciting upcoming feature movie “Day Six”!

THE TECHNOLOGY - We’re pleased to share that we shot this using innovative Virtual Production technology, working with the absolute legends at Virtual Innovation Partners on the largest Virtual Production stage in the Benelux at AED Studios.
This was a dream come true!

THE TALENT - Davy Eduard King stars as a US Special Forces lieutenant, working alone in the Iraq desert in 2003...

We’ll share more in the coming days, but in the meantime enjoy this snap of Davy Eduard King in character on one of the
most advanced sets in the world! 🙂

Monkeyshoot Studios job well done 👏💪🏻

The movie industry often pushes companies together in the form of collaboration. The goal being a true fusion of creative technologies and talents to make something inspiring. Something that one company alone couldn’t make without the other(s).

This month, Monkeyshoot Studios and the Green Heart team were lucky enough to collaborate with Virtual Innovation Partners, Angenieux Lenses, Vocas Sales & Services and of course Monkeyshoots key partner, the epic AED Studios in shooting a special preview scene for an upcoming production — using state-of-the-art technology.

We also worked closely with key partners Triangular Group Academy and Scherpschutters as well as several amazing talents.
More insight into all these collaborations soon. In the meantime…

We’re always ‘Story First’ and nowhere was that more key than on this shoot — where the central world+characters of the production gave a foundation and through-line for the entire conjoined team.

Working with this technology enabled the team to work in an incredibly precise way. We were able to craft something with nuanced control. Something we think you might find beautiful to watch.

Today is Liberation Day in the Netherlands.
We celebrate the freedom we now enjoy, thanks to those who came before us.

At Green Heart, we realize how lucky we are to be based in a country where people live and work in freedom. We reflect on the fact that there are still places in the world where this is not the case.

Maybe today you can reflect on what peace & security means to you.

GREEN STAR ALERT!

This week we introduced the first of our Green Stars.

Only appropriate then that we now introduce our GREEN HEART AMBASSADOR… none other than the esteemed Jamal Saksak - who is also a GREEN HEART co-founder.

The GREEN HEART endeavour celebrates all that is great and inspiring about military lives, and the people who support and honor those lives.

Part of his Ambassador duties includes managing and supporting the community of GREEN STARS as they continue with their creations, crafts and care in the military world.

Jamal’s own story is an incredible and often underestimated one. But this whole journey all started with him, and the team is proud to count him at the very heart of us.

The team gathered together with our partners and the first new Green Stars yesterday. Enjoyed a drink and a snack, discussed the state of affairs regarding current and upcoming productions and projects. To top it off, exciting new collaborations and projects were also announced with some cool kickoffs immediately taking place.

Toward the end of last year, we held an awesome launch event to kick off the newly invigorated Green Heart initiative – complete with updated branding.

We reckon that that shiny new branding is really slick; beautiful to look at, appropriate to our values and conveys the very heart of our core message. To say we're over the moon about it is an understatement.

Of course, such a cool development like that doesn't come overnight. To reach the new look, we worked closely with the kick-ass designer Paul Smith - Head of Design in the UK.

Paul Smith - Head of Design is an absolute industry leader in graphic design and always brings a professional, creative and - importantly - personal touch to the design process. His logo work is frankly genius.

So we were enthused and excited when Paul agreed to work on the Green Heart initiative re-branding, referring to it as:

"a pleasure to be working with the incredibly passionate, talented, and even award-winning Green Heart team. Not only is it satisfying to work on and be part of such an important and worthwhile initiative, but it’s personally inspiring to hear these stories and work with these incredible people like Jamal Saksak, the subject of the first movie "Stolen Fire".

Expect great things from Green Heart, as that’s what they deliver. I’m very proud to be involved in the project."

The results speak for themselves.

We're happy and consider ourselves lucky to continue to work with Head of Design on Green Heart in 2023.
