We are honored to welcome Ole J. Dahlberg as a member of the GreinDX board. Dahlberg holds a Master's degree in General Genetics and Marine Biology from the University of Oslo (UiO). Dahlberg has more than 20 years of experience in international Life Science management.

He started his career as a scientist at Dynal ASA in 1997. Later he became a Senior Scientist at Cytomics AS, a company he co-founded in 1998. In 2000 he co-founded GenoVision, later acquired by QIAGEN in 2002, where he continued as a Managing Director and Associate Director. In 2007 he co-founded Mole Genetics AS, known for their award winning GeneMole® platform, an automated DNA extraction system. Next, in 2009, he joined Life Technologies (later acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific) as their Segment Director. Dahlberg moved on to becoming the Managing Director for Thermo Fisher Scientific in Norway, a position he held from 2012 to 2017. Dahlberg recently returned to Norway after several years as Vice President and General Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Carlsbad, California.

Ole Dahlberg is an accomplished and highly regarded international leader, with extensive board experience. He is currently on the Board of Directors for Oslo Cancer Cluster (since 2016) and Life Technologies (since 2014).

We are delighted to welcome Gopana Sripalan as a member of our research team. Gopana will be dividing her time working with Professor Vessela Kristensen and her team at Oslo University Hospital, and with our CTO, Amir Lichtenstein and his mathematical modeling team.

Gopana recently graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) with a MSc in Nanotechnology, with specialization in Bionanotechnology. She wrote her Master thesis on Acoustic Cluster Therapy (ACT®) and Induced Immune Response. She is currently enrolled in a one-year study program in informatics at the University of Oslo (UiO).

As we enter the new year we are honored to welcome Professor Bjørn Tore Gjertsen, MD, Ph.D. to our team as Scientific Advisor. Prof. Gjertsen has since 2007 been Professor of Hematology at the Department of Clinical Science at the University of Bergen (UiB) and as Research Chief and Consultant Hematologist at Helse Bergen Health Trust, developing early phase clinical trials at Haukeland University Hospital.

Prof. Gjertsen obtained his MD at the Medical Faculty at the University of Bergen in 1992 and his Ph.D. at the Medical Faculty, Department of Autonomy at the University of Bergen in 1995.

In 2016, Prof. Gjertsen was appointed co-director for Centre for Cancer Biomarkers (CCBIO), the Norwegian Centre of Excellence at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Bergen. His major research interest is the development of targeted therapy and accompanying diagnostics in the aggressive blood cancer, acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Prof. Gjertsen also established and managed the University of Bergen’s Flow Cytometry Core Facility during 2011-2017. He holds several international patents and is co-founder of two companies focusing on pre-clinical and clinical development of next generation cancer therapy, KinN Therapeutics AS and Alden Cancer Therapy AS. He is the author and co-author of numerous publications in his field.

On September 2, 2021, the Norwegian Cancer Society awarded Prof. Gjertsen, King Olav V's Prize for Cancer Research, a prestigious award honored to those who have distinguished themselves through scientific contributions to Norwegian cancer research. With over 20 years of treating patients and pioneering his field of research, he is a driven force at the institutional level aiming to strengthen the capacity to perform early clinical trials and testing novel technologies.

We are honored to welcome Professor Eivind Hovig to our team as Scientific Advisor. Prof. Hovig has since 2018 led the Center for Bioinformatics at the University of Oslo. He is also currently a Research Fellow and Group Leader at the Department for Tumor Biology, Institute of Cancer Research at Oslo University Hospital in Norway, a position he has held since 2005.

Prof. Hovig is a Cand. Real and Dr. Philos from the Department of General Genetics, Faculty for Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo, Norway. He also holds a PhD from the Medical Faculty at the University of Oslo, Norway.

He is the Co-Principal Investigator and leader of bioinformatics in the Norwegian Cancer Genomics Consortium, partner in BigMed, a research project funded by the Research Council of Norway, as well as Scientific Head of the Bioinformatics Core Facility, funded by Helse Sør-Øst regional health organization. Prof. Hovig is the leader of the Oslo node of Elixir Norway, part of the national node of the European bioinformatics infrastructure, funded by the Research Council of Norway and the EU. Furthermore Prof. Hovig is a Board member of the National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden and the Janus Serum Bank.

He is the author of 170 peer-reviewed scientific papers and Co-founder of two Norwegian bioinformatics-based companies, PubGene and OncoImmunity. He has developed six international patents and is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.

With over 40 years of experience in cancer research in multinational environments, he has built a reputation for innovative strategic thinking, working with the highest level integrity and a profound and enthusiastic commitment to his team of fellow researchers.
