8 Practical Steps to Successfully Gain Admission and Scholarship to U.S.

NB: If you cannot find funding information on a school’s website, email the graduate coordinators to request for that information. They are very responsive!

Step 5: Requesting TOEFL/IELTS/GRE Waivers
For international students whose native language isn’t English, most schools might request an English score such as TOEFL or IELTS. The good thing is that you can request for a waiver from your program’s director or coordinator if you are proficient in English. I have a sample email on my blog for TOEFL request waivers.

Step 8: Applying to Schools
Proceed to apply for the schools once you have carried out all the steps above. I recommend that you start early and apply to more than one school.
