My (support) work is done but continues strongly right after the Olympics. Wishing you nothing but the best. The way forward is to take each round as final. All the best and good luck to Team Ghana.
The road to the Olympics is an intentional and well-strategised plan. For these athletes, it is impossible to be at the right meets without the right decisions, partnerships/links, travel to and fro, and constant communication. Thanks to the coaches, agents and meet organisers who contributed to this feat.

This is incredible!
Magical moments from Sasha Zhoya in Heat 2 of the 110m hurdles at the 2024 French Championships held at Stade Josette et Roger Mikulak, Angers.
Fun fact: He did not only qualify (with 13.84s [-0.4]) for the final after the failed start but ultimately won with 13.32s [-1.1].
Never Give Up! Never Question Greatness!!
This is an intriguing book chapter I co-authored with Umair Rana from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM)/ University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada.

Significantly, my study shows that Ghana’s government policies regarding sport for sustainable development are clearly formulated and widely promoted, echoing trends in Zambia and other nations. However, my findings are entrenched within four notable social mechanisms/barriers comprising the following:
1. Politics – skewed allocation of sport funds towards football.
2. Socio-cultural dynamics – patriarchal nature of Ghanaian society, religious beliefs and entrenched perceptions of gender roles, attitudes towards persons with disabilities and pervasive football culture.
3. Organisation conditions – lack of sufficient funds, qualified sports leaders and women in leadership roles.
4. Institutional frameworks – absence of clear policy implementation guidelines, non-inclusive policy making process and limited legitimacy of Sport for Development (SDP) organisations.
These challenges compromise Ghana’s commitment to using sports as a tool for sustainable development. Visit the comment section to read more...
