Thanks everyone who made the Tulsa shows so amazing! We can update everyone on the awesome weekend we had!
Saturday: Zippit the Whippet Select Dog at the Whippet Supported Entry for a 5 point GCh Major, Red (Beagle) Winners Dog for one point and Best In Sweeps, Chacha (Berner) Select, Prince (Wolfhound) Best of Breed, Haltare (Portuguese Pedengo Pequeno) Best of Breed, Picasso (Ibizan) Best In Sweeps, Charlie (B&T Coonhound) Reserve, Dawsey (Long Haired Dachshund), Madison (Whippet), Gracie (Ibizan) and Psy (Frenchie) all showed great, but no love in their classes.
Sunday (oh how we love you!)-Madison (Whippet) Best of Breed from the classes for a 5 point major(!!), Zippit the Whippet Select Dog for a GCh Major, Picasso Best of Winners for a 5 point major (!!), Chacha (Berner) Best of Opposite, Haltare Best of Breed, Prince Best of Breed, Psy Award of Merit at the French Bulldog specialty, Charlie Reserve Winners, Red Reserve Winners, Gracie and Dawsey showed well, but no love.
The best part of this weekend was getting to spend it (although I was so busy I really didn’t have a lot of time to chat!!) with all of my Ibizan Friends. I am so thankful for this breed and all of the new people I have met and now consider family!
Thank you to all of my clients for sharing your dogs with me. I love each and every single one of them and am always so proud!!!! Thanks to Cheryl Schuman and Baylie Michelle Smith -the best assistants I could ever ask for!!!
Next Stop is Westminster!

Welcome to Marwyn Professional Handling! This is a bit more about us! We will post about our upcoming show dates and rates soon!
Marwyn Professional Handling by Meg Smith, assisted by Baylie Smith and Cheryl Schuman. Based in the Midwest and specializing in all things hound! Come, let us spoil your hounds! Other breeds upon request.
Meg has been showing dogs her entire life, entering the show ring for the first time at five years old in 1982. She started in the Juniors ring in 1987 with a 15 inch Beagle and that is when her love of hounds began. She has put multiple group wins and group placements on her own dogs, as well as client dogs.
Our dogs are part of the family, therefore we do not have a kennel. We treat all client dogs as our own. We keep our client dog number relatively low to ensure each dog gets our full attention.
Meg, Baylie, and Russell, are owned by their dogs: Claire (Besame’s Count Your Blessings), Urie (GCh. Ch. Besame’s Foolish Habit), Reina (Ch. Trube Whoop There It Is A’DavaL-Wynd N’ Marwyn), and Spencer (Symphony's Party in the USA at Marwyn).
In her spare time, Meg teaches handling classes in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Meg is also the corresponding secretary for the Ibizan Hound Club of the United States and the National Show Chair for the Ibizan Hound Club of the United States. Baylie is a senior at Northeastern State University studying Legal Studies.
