As a university professor in the USA for over 8 years, I have seen international students struggle academically during their first semester. They struggle with the course structure, lecture format, LMS, assignments, and more. They have a poor understanding of academic and behavioral expectations. It takes them a semester or two before they understand the American academic system.

A few years ago, as I was helping a struggling international student, a thought came to my mind. What if I could train first-year international students in all the things that American professors expect from students? As a former international student and current faculty member, I would be the ideal person to offer this service. I would help students maximize their educational investment. Over the span of four years, students invest over USD $40,000 in their education. Being prepared to maximize this investment is crucial!

I have developed workshops to prepare international students to thrive academically in the USA from the very first semester. Students complete in-person workshops before they leave their home country. These small-sized workshops (no more than 8 students per group) cover a range of topics in-depth. After the completion of the workshops, students are prepared to take on academic challenges when they land in the USA.
