Stepping into 2024, I can't help but reflect on the remarkable journey advocating for Dignified Menstruation throughout 2023. It was an incredible year, filled with efforts that created waves of change, amplifying awareness and garnering crucial support. 2023 stands out as a pivotal year in my quest to establish myself as a DM Champion.

Samir symbolizes more than an individual; he embodies the enduring thoughts that fuel our mission to sustain Menstrual Dignity. Even as people may come and go, these thoughts remain, steadfastly guiding us.

Looking forward, my commitment to championing Dignified Menstruation intensifies. I'm determined to elevate my activism, striving for greater impact in our cause. Your ongoing love, support, and feedback mean the world as we navigate this journey together. Let's persist in paving the way for a future that embraces dignity and inclusivity for everyone.

Each year, on December 8, we commemorate International Dignified Menstruation Day. This year marked the 5th anniversary, centered around the theme "Dignified Menstruation is Integral for Ending Sexual Violence and Child Marriage." A significant hybrid conference, held in Kathmandu, Nepal, in collaboration with Plan International Nepal, gathered 100 influential figures from various ministries, NGOs, INGOs, stakeholders, and activists. The event comprised two panel discussions, one of which I had the privilege to moderate, focusing on the "Role of Youth in Dignified Menstruation." Despite having hosted numerous sessions before, this one stood out due to its comprehensive theme and diverse panelists, culminating in a fruitful conclusion.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and all the supporting individuals who made this event possible. Dignified Menstruation transcends a mere moment; it embodies the essence of change, the transition from child to motherhood, and the aspiration for a violence-free society embedded with gender equality.

This occasion served as a poignant reminder that Dignified Menstruation isn't just an event; it's an emotional journey towards societal transformation and empowerment. I commend the team for their efforts in making this significant event a success.
