PCOD is characterized by multiple small cysts in the ovaries. It makes the o***y enlarged and lead to excessive production of androgen and oestrogen hormones causing various bodily issues.

However, the association of PCOD with low-grade inflammation, excess insulin, production of male hormones (Hyperandrogenism) in high quantity and genetics can be found. Also, early age of menarche, unhealthy lifestyle and pollution are some of the contributing factors of PCOD.

Worldwide 🌍, 191 million tons of cow´s milk 🐄 🥛 is being consumed by humans every year. For a cow to produce milk, she needs to give birth to a calve. For the vast majority of these babies, they do not get to drink any of their mother’s milk. Instead, they are cruelly taken from their mothers almost immediately. For these highly maternal creatures, this is a traumatising time filled with suffering and stress for both the mother and the calf 💔🐄.
On top, the consumption of cow´s milk comes at a destructive price on the environment. Apart from intensive land use, the production of cow´s milk contributes to the climate crisis through methane emissions: Did you know that producing 1 litre of cow´s milk results in 2.4 kg of CO²-equivalents, as much as from combusting 1 litre of petrol?!
Why not try one of the many delicious plant-based milks 🌱🥛, made from oat, rice, almond, soy, coconut...the list goes on! These plant kinds of milk are not only animal-friendly but much more friendly to our planet and our health, too (less fat and no cholesterol). Do you already have a favourite?

This is what’s called the body type diet.

Body type, or somatotype, refers to the idea that there are three generalized body compositions that people are predetermined to have. The concept was theorized by Dr. W.H. Sheldon back in the early 1940s, naming the three somatotypes endomorph, mesomorph, and ectomorph.

Most of the foods recommended are whole, nutrient-dense sources of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats, and are similar for each diet. Where they differ is in their macronutrient ratios, with some foods considered better suited for certain body types.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome, commonly known as PCOS, is a complex hormonal disorder that causes cysts on a woman’s ovaries. The cysts are eggs that have failed to properly mature, and on an ultrasound, they look like black dots on the ovaries.

While not often talked about, PCOS is common, affecting 8-13% of women between 15 and 44, with a higher prevalence in women of Asian, African, Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds.

Early diagnosis and treatment may help reduce the impacts of long-term issues that are commonly associated with PCOS, such as Type 2 Diabetes and high blood pressure.
