Nagdhunga Tunnel Construction Project.

The contract agreement for the Civil Works of the Nagdhunga Tunnel Construction Project was signed today between the “Development Cooperation Implementation Division, Department of Roads, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Government of Nepal” and “Hazama Ando Corporation, Japan.”
The objective of the Project is to improve the road condition around Nagdhunga pass by constructing a tunnel, thereby contributing to achieve the smooth transportation network between Kathmandu and other principal cities/areas in Nepal.
JICA is the development partner of the project providing loan assistance of JPY 16.636 billion and the construction completion period for the project is around 3.5 years .
