Project: One and half floor addition to the existing single storey residential building
Some vertical wall elements are added on the ground floor as well to unify the overall aesthetic of the building and to avoid the feeling of phase-wise construction. The "Namaste" design as seen on ground floor felt quiet strong and bulky in the existing building however the overall design (as seen on picture) now makes that presence less focused and the visual attention is now towards the brick textured contemporary wall topped with sloped overhang.
No any dismantling work for the existing building was proposed on this modification.

Result of our last predict and win game!

Built on 32' x 40' plot, the building faces towards north. Keeping in mind the vastu principal as per the requirement of client, north east side of the plot is kept open for parking. The house consists of three bedrooms with one master bedroom having attached go-through closet that leads to the bathroom, one drawing room, an open kitchen and dining setup, a secondary kitchen, a puja room and a living room.
The plinth area of ground floor of the house is 780 sq ft.
As per our last post of "predict and win" game, the closest answer was 775 sq ft. by Mr. Oshan shrestha.
