When adults hear that what our kids love most about sport is having fun playing with their mates, many leap to the conclusion that winning doesn't matter to them (and many are even 'outraged' at the thought!). Truth is they couldn't be further from the truth. In the moment, of course our young athletes love winning - but win or lose, the result just doesn't mean as much to them as it does to many parents and coaches! They move on very quickly... so should we (and well before the car ride home too!)
