Day 4 of the self-love challenge…
Today, self-love feels super challenging!!! I’m super tired, frustrated and can’t seem to get in the right head space. Self doubt and imposture syndrome has been through the roof, and multiple times I’ve wondered whether I should give up what I do with . Comparison is a bitch, and when we let ourselves get in that low vibrational mindset, we really do become our own worst enemies…
Being in this headspace is SO NOT ME, so I know what I’m thinking + feeling today is not my true self… I’m reminded that when we find ourselves in these challenging states, there’s usually some other internal or external influence which has thrown us off kilter, and it’s better to wait until it passes before doing anything too drastic 😂.
So my self-love practice today is choosing to NOT listen to the voice in my head which has been saying such unloving, self critical things. Instead, I’m focussing on fun, connection and rest for the remainder of the day. These three things always bring me back to myself, so taking the pressure off and just enjoying the life I am lucky enough to have today has helped shift things immensely already.
Grateful for this platform to be able to share these things with you guys, my community. Grateful for the insight + perspective I’ve gained to know better than to trust everything that I think. Grateful for my yoga practice which helped get me out of my head + into my body this afternoon.
Hope these words can help someone. What do you guys do when you’re in a challenging headspace…?
X
Welcome to Day 2 of our 5 Days of Self-Love challenge. I hope yesterday’s reflection/journaling questions helped get you all thinking a little deeper about the current relationship you have with yourself + how you might want to grow/deepen/expand that relationship in the most loving way.
As we know, self-love is all about how we speak to ourselves, care for ourselves + support ourselves. It encompasses everything, from how we look after our health + wellbeing, the people we choose to surround ourselves with, the boundaries we set within our lives, the things we give our time too and how much influence we give our external circumstances over our internal environments. Our levels of self-love reflect the value + worthiness we hold for ourselves and direct our words + actions (often subconsciously), influencing every part of our experience of life and the ways in which we choose to ‘show up’ for ourselves and others each day…
To me, self-love is one of the highest expressions of love you can give. It isn’t selfish and it isn’t something to feel guilty about… rather the greatest way to ensure you have enough love within to then give to those around you. Ultimately, the quality + depth of every relationship in your life ends up reflecting the one you have with yourself, as we can only go as far with others as we have already gone with ourselves.
So, I’d like to keep encouraging you all to continue exploring your self-love relationship over the next 4 days and practicing acts of self-love each day. This could be anything from dancing to your favourite song, meditating in the sunshine, making a plan to start building that business you’re dreaming of, going for a drive to your favourite place, having a bath… Something you can do to get clear on the practice you might need is to (continued in comments…)
Happy LOVE day everyone!
Our 5 days of Self-Love challenge kicks off today. To get us started here are some questions to think over and/or journal about.
Self-love is such a subjective thing + looks different for all of us, so these questions will help you get clear on what it means to you. Once you’ve done this, it’ll be WAY easier to figure out the types of things you need to do to begin practicing more self-love this week.
I’ve listed a few suggestions of self-love practices you could try out on the 8th pic. Make them relative to what you need + like to do. The most important thing with any self-love practice is to make sure it’s coming from a loving place. Before doing anything always ask yourself, is what I am about to I do coming from a place of love or fear? If it’s from a place of love, go for it! If it’s coming from fear, see if it’s possible to readjust your perspective to one of love or perhaps try something different!
I’ll be posting a little video later today on self-love so keep any eye out if you’re interested. Goodluck with getting your practices going + reach out if you have any questions ❤️
10 years ago today…
Baby me about to jump on a bus from Bangkok to Siem Reap + live in the Cambodian countryside to study yoga 🧘🏽♀️
I’d never done yoga before. I hardly meditated at the time. All I knew was that I didn’t like the person I had become and needed a way to get back to me.
After a month of crazy experiences I’d never even known possible, I was changed.
Since then, yoga has been a guiding light + practice I turn to for support through everything. That’s not to say I haven’t swayed from this path many, many times (I did my most recent YTTC as a way to fully commit to my practice). But it’s one of the only things I can rely on to give me what I need each time I return to it. People/places/things come and go, but personal practices stay with you for life.
Ever grateful for this path that has allowed me to grow into the person I am today. Ever grateful for the opportunity to share this wisdom with others + see them blossom in similar ways.
If you’d like to join me for yoga, in addition to the group classes I hold around Auckland each week, I’ve got limited one-to-one private yoga sessions available at the moment. These 60 minute bookings look at everything from asana training, correct alignment, vinyasa flow training, breath work, meditation, yoga therapy + more.
If you’re wanting to level-up your yoga game, I’d highly recommend private sessions. You get so much more out of your practice when you know what you’re doing properly…!
Only a few spots available, DM for more info 🕉✨🌴🧘🏽♀️
Valentine’s Day is this coming Monday, and seeing as I love any excuse to bring some attention to LOVE, especially SELF LOVE, I thought I’d run a little 5-day self love challenge next week for everyone to ‘up’ their daily self care practices.
On Monday 14th, I’ll be posting a range of activities + practices for you to join in with and complete over the following 5 days. The aim is to do at least one self care practice each day, with the final being one on Friday 18th February. Choose what will work best for you and fit it into your day when you can. I’ll be posting extra videos each day to support you guys + remind you to prioritise some time for YOU!
To make it a little more motivating, post an image to your IG stories each day of your chosen self care practice. Tag me when you post so I can reshare. Those of you who post each day for the 5 day challenge will go into the draw to win a 90 minute self-care yoga/meditation/relaxation session with me. The session is for the winner and 3 friends/whanau at a beautiful location in West Auckland, so remember to post if you want to be in to win…
Looking forward to focusing on self-love and self-care with you all next week. DM me any questions you have before then!
Happy weekend y’all x

2022 has been a wild ride so far…
✨We had our epic 1-day RESET retreat in Matakana at beautiful last month with 40 special souls
✨I moved to Ponsonby (something I realised I started manifesting at the end of last year)
✨ There have been some wonderful and ridiculously random trips away to Matakana, Waiheke + Hamilton with friends (old and new)… 🎉🌙🌊🥂
✨and MOST IMPORTANTLY has continued to grow + expand in ways it never has before…
It’s insane what life will bring you when you are OPEN to it, do the inner healing work, clarify your vision and then say YES to the aligned opportunities that come your way…
I’m so looking forward to seeing what comes next and working with more of your guys this year. Lots of exciting new offerings popping up soon, so keep your eyes peeled and say YES to the ones that speak to you most ❤️
February 1st 2022…
Chinese New Year 🐅🧧 + new moon in Aquarius ♒️🌑
Last new moon, I spent the day reflecting, working through some things that were weighing me down, and ended up doing a burn ceremony that night as a way to release + transform these things. This is something I do each month, with new moon representing new beginnings (amongst other things!). The act of processing and letting go of the old to create space for the new is a potent part of this, enabling us to keep moving forward in our journeys.
Looking back over everything I’ve experienced in the past month, it’s crazy to see how much life has expanded and transformed in just a few weeks. The last few years have been big healing years for me, so being able to see it all come together now in an abundant way is gratifying AF ✨
If you have time this evening, I encourage you to go find some stillness under the new moon. Sit outside, take some conscious breaths, listen to the world around you and reflect on life. Find gratitude for the month we’ve just had. Honour the version of yourself you are today. Look forward to where you are headed…
Spend some time reflecting/thinking/writing/drawing/being… this looks different for all of us, so tune in with what feels right for you and do that. Where do you want life to take you over the next month? What things would you like to create? How do you want to show up in the world…? What do you need to do/heal/release/cultivate in order to allow these things into your life…?
Do the work today, so we can create for tomorrow. Life truly is a testament that we always get out what we put in (think in terms of our thoughts/energy/intentions/actions…).
I love watching to see how life shifts for you guys + I can’t wait to see what 2022 bring for you all ✨✨✨
Happy Anniversary Weekend Tāmaki Makaurau ✨

For me, today is all about getting into the energy of my future visions (we dive more into this at our Week 3 Goal Setting + Life Scripting Masterclass tribe).
Bringing our visions to life is one of the most empowering + exciting things about developing ourselves. Only when we remove those mental blockages holding us back are we really able to release our creative potential and turn our visions into reality…
I can’t wait to bring you guys this 1-day well-being retreat in beautiful Matakana next year. The retreat is open to ALL PEOPLE (not just yogis) so if you know others in need of some TLC, spread the word ✨

Meditation ✨ and it’s many faces…
My favourite self care practice + the thing that completely changed my life.
Am SO looking forward to sharing all things meditation this Sunday with the tribe + guiding us through a practice together 🕉 🧘🏽♂️🧘🏻
A few days ago I stopped to ‘smell the roses’ while I was at the botanical gardens 🌹
Roses were my mum’s favourite flower + she grew them in our garden when I was growing up. She would take my sister and I to rose gardens all over Auckland for picnics, so we could learn to appreciate the beauty of nature.
Whenever I see a rose garden, I always stop to take it all in, and have some time to remember my mum.
The roses in this photo really stood out to me from all the other rose bushes at the botanical gardens. They drew me in and I ended up standing there for a long time, taking in their beautiful scent and colour. Just before I left, I had a look to see what they were called… the name was ‘my mum’ 💗
Special little moment + reminder of the little signs we can receive when we take the time to ‘stop and smell the roses’…
Make sure you take some time to slow down today. When we rush through life, we miss so much ✨
Have a beautiful Wednesday everyone x
Lil shout out to ✨
