2023 Purina ProPlan National Dog Show

THAT'S A WRAP! The fabulous 2023 Purina ProPlan National Dog Show is over and the committee could not be prouder of such a superb event put on for you all at the wonderful Auckland Exhibition Centre. While behind the scenes there has been a huge amount of hard work, long nights and days for the crew putting their every spare second in to it, it has been so rewarding to see the smiles and receive so much positive feedback so we say a huge THANK YOU to you all for making a great week fabulous! Lots of laughs, great sportsmanship shown in and out of the ring, more special memories cemented, old friends reunited and new ones made. Huge congratulations to all the winners and please travel home safely! 💜

FINAL DAY PRE-JUDGING AND JUDGING OF THE PURINA PRO PLAN NATIONAL DOG SHOW 2023

THE DAY COMMENCES WITH THE NZ BRED STAKES FINAL IN RING 1 AT 8.30AM.

UTILITY WILL NOT be pre-judged and will go straight in to the MAIN RING 1 at the completion of the NZ BRED Stakes at approx. 9AM.

ALL REMAINING Groups except Utility will be pre-judged in rings 3 & 4.

***You MUST be pre-judged in your Groups or you will NOT be eligible to return to the main ring for the Final Group placing results judging***

PRE-JUDGING: All Best of breeds will enter the ring and be judged. The judge will NOT give any results and you will all then leave the ring with ONLY the judge knowing his Group 1 to 4 winners which will be announced when you return to the main ring for the final Group judging. Then EVERY Age class will also be pre-judged, again no results will be announced. Once the Group 1 to 4 Winners are announced in the main ring 1 judging that will determine what Age Classes will be required to come back in to the Main Ring for Age Class of Group wins.

TERRIERS - NOT BEFORE 10.15AM
HOUNDS - NOT BEFORE 11.15AM

PRE-JUDGING GROUP TIMINGS: RING 3

TOYS - 9AM
NON SPORTING - NOT BEFORE 9.45AM
GUNDOGS - NOT BEFORE 10.45AM

ANNOUCEMENTS will be made to confirm your RETURN time to the main Ring 1 for final group and placment judging. PLEASE NOTE you will not wait long between the pre-judging and final group judging.

TROLLEYS, CRATES & TABLES... We are half way through our fabulous National week and want to say THANK YOU to all those exhibitors who have shown consideration to ensure only their trolleys are only in the assembly area when they being shown inside and removed once completed in the rings. For all exhibitors showing Thursday, Friday and Saturday please be a team player too and also ensure ONLY all your trolleys are in the assembly area when you are required in the rings. NO CRATES OR TABLES are to be set up indoors and will be asked to be removed.

The Livestream link posted on our page is also the ONLY LIVESTREAM. It is a FREE YouTube link and so no credit card or other payment details are asked for. First day of the National Show has started with a wonder atmosphere and lots of smiling faces

***REMINDER*** PLEASE ensure you pick up after your dogs when on lead or running them in the off lead runs! We want every dog to enjoy the fabulous off lead runs without prior dogs fouling and not having it picked up 🙈

***CHANGE OF ALL BREEDS STAKES JUDGE***
Martin Hewitt is unable to arrive in time to judge the All Breed Stakes tomorrow at the Curtain Raiser Champ Show but we are very fortunate to have Catherine Loft (NSW) to judge them for is. There is NO change to Martin judging the Working Group.

Another big day today setting everything up and it's coming all together nicely. A fabulous crew working hard but all with smiles and proud of what we are achieving 😁 See you tomorrow for the start of the National week with the 2023 Curtain Raiser Championship Show 💜

PLEASE TRAVEL SAFELY!

This weather is causing ferry delays, road closures throughout the country, reports of snow on the Desert Road, chilly temperatures etc so ask all that are travelling to the National week to take your time, be safe and check for any changes to your planned route. We want everyone to arrive safely and enjoy a fabulous week of showing!

The wind may be blowing but it won't stop us! It's full steam ahead with the set up well underway :) The crew are hard at work getting the grounds ready and all the behind the scenes work done for a fabulous week ahead!

Lots of questions coming through re car parking for National Week

Firstly Mondays Curtain Raiser show is outdoors and so all normal show parking is in play- so reserved carparks are as per normal

From Tuesday the back carpark is for pre paid carparking only. This can be done via your online entries on the last screen and yes there is an option for disability pass holders.

The front car park will be free parking
Parking up by the barn will be for officials only

Those coming for the evening specialities will be able to use the back carpark for free from late afternoon as National exhibitors leave.
