Our friend and colleague Glenn Selwyn died from cancer early this morning.

Glenn had two stints at Worralls, working in the warehouse for a few years in the 2000s, then rejoined the company in 2013 in a customer service and warranties role.

Glenn was a quiet badass.
Out of the office he had the energy to raise his family, ride all kinds of bikes, build a few lovely steel frames, and practice and teach several martial arts.
Glenn’s passion for all of these, and his support of other’s athletic and creative efforts was infectious.
The cancer diagnosis came just as Glenn recovered from an Achilles tendon injury which kept him off his bike for months to his intense frustration.
During his gruelling cancer treatment he kept riding, going to the gym and practicing and teaching Kendo for as long as he was capable.

We will miss Glenn’s humanity, his love of good food, booze and conversation.

Our hearts go out to Glenn’s family, and to his many friends.

At GT, we know our riders demand the highest levels of performance, quality, and safety, and wehold ourselves and GT products to that standard.

We have identified a safety issue with the GT Model Year 2019-23 LaBomba bicycles and framesets. The bicycle headtube/downtube weld can become damaged and separate from the bicycle frame, posing fall and injury hazards. We have elected to conduct a recall of the bicycles in order to provide riders with a replacement frame.
