Working with organisations whose values align with mine is so important to me.
A few years back I decided I wanted to work with more charities - I already donate my time a couple of times a year to making content for those ones who have little or no marketing budget, and I’m lucky enough to get paid work from some of those that do as well.
Recently Kerryn from was chosen as a nominee for the Westfield local hero awards!!
I was super excited to take some photos of her for the publicity around the event. You couldn’t meet a more generous dedicated woman. PLEASE go and vote for her! What they would do with the money will be life changing for family violence survivors.

One day when I hadn't posted on social for 4 months I knew something had to change. I'm obsessed with system and processes (my old boss in TV said to me once I’m the most organised creative she’s ever come across) so I knew I had to create a system to get over this block in my business.
That’s when Clever Content Club was born. Here's what we stand for...
We don’t go overboard. A few pieces of high-quality content generated consistently over time works.
Less is more. For every piece of content we ask ourselves – can this be simpler, shorter and more effective?
We re-purpose. If you write a good blog post let’s pull video and still content out of it. Also consider looking back on older pieces of content to re-use – repetition is good!
We don’t do all or nothing. I know, the urge is strong to chuck it all in when you haven’t met your too-big goal you set for the month. But there’s always time to stop, re-calibrate and downgrade so you at least get something posted.
Find your own groove. I’m sharing my system with you that has helped me post consistently over time. But you’ll find what works best for you and customise it to suit your needs.

I don’t always look like I do in my last post (in fact I usually don’t!). If you’ve been with me for awhile you know I like to post a makeup free selfie every now and then to keep it real.
Let’s normalise normal! If all we see on social is filters and makeup we start to feel less than. So here I am, in my pj’s, working on a Saturday morning on an exciting new offering (hint it’s around the relentless grind of content creation and how to make it easier! Does this sound like something you need?).

I’m lucky to have some amazing friends and this little crew is no exception. Hanging with other people in bigger bodies makes me feel so comfortable cause they just get me!!
When we’re together there’s no talk about dieting, no hating on our bodies - just lots of mutual admiration and respect. I always feel so seen ❤️
This is one of the reasons I wanted to do a Plus Size Shoot - to give other women in bigger bodies the chance to come and hang in a safe space with people who get it. There’s nothing quite like it! Community is EVERYTHING.

Once a year I do a free video for a charity cause it's important for me to give back. This year the charity was really close to my heart.
My Dad co-founded Life a Plenty before he passed away. They run retreats for women who are burnt out, overwhelmed, and need a rest and some skills for dealing with stress and anxiety.
I can't wait to share the final video with you when it's finished 💛

Hell yeah I'm a batcher, what about it?
I've tried so many different ways of keeping up with my content creation and this is the formula I've hit on that works for me.
⚡ An hours strategy session at the top of the month looking at what worked last month and planning the next
⚡ One-two days a month filming, editing and scheduling all my content
That's it. Just the two steps! Then I know my core content is taken care off and I can add in anything that inspires me throughout the month (or just chillax and enjoy having it all done).
Insta hubby learns about shot sizes 🤦♀️
When you're making a video with lots of shots edited together, make sure you get a variety of different sized shots - Wide shot, mid or medium shot and close up.
This creates more movement in the video and is way more pleasing to the eye!

Don’t forget about our sense of touch when you’re making videos.
Whether it’s a cheek caressing a fluffy jacket, a drip of syrup sliding off a stack of pancakes, or hands giving a relaxing facial - remember to include tactile elements in your videos, to really transport people into the shot.
