DTNZ celebrates DTTA's 10 year anniversary
Happy 10-Year Anniversary to Dance Therapy Training Aotearoa! We wanted to take a moment to congratulate them on their milestone especially as Anaia, DTNZ's Director & Founder, was a co-creator of this diploma - which trains students in New Zealand and overseas. In this video, Anaia and Maud, DTNZ therapist and DTTA's admin and placement coordinator, demonstrated the mirroring dance movement technique at a DTNZ event last year. DTNZ offers DTTA's students creative arts therapy placements and we're very proud to have several incredible therapists work for us after they graduated!

DTNZ celebrates five years of dance movement therapy at University of Auckland
We're taking a moment to acknowledge the fifth anniversary of the Master of Dance Movement Therapy course at the Creative Arts and Industries, the University of Auckland! This is an important milestone to DTNZ and extra special for Anaia and Mackenzie who are celebrating in this video. Anaia, DTNZ's Director & Founder, created the course and taught it for the first two years and Mackenzie, DTNZ's Programmes & ACC Clinical Manager, was one of the first cohort of students to graduate from it. DTNZ currently has three graduates working as lead therapists and another very close to graduating as well as six students assisting our therapy groups across Auckland. We've also had many guest lecturers work here and alongside us. We're proud to support the growth in creative-based therapies and to see it becoming more accepted in the community as the powerful form of therapy that it is! Find out more at dancetherapy.co.nz.

We're so thankful to them!

DTNZ thanks Music Helps
We want to give a big shout out to MusicHelps for donating our dream wish list of musical instruments for our STARS programmes 🤩 Our clients will love bringing some rhythm to their dance!

DTNZ Generosity Generator Campaign
We’re proud to have helped thousands of Kiwis with creative arts therapy over the past 10 years including those living with disabilities and mental health, tamariki, at-risk communities and survivors of sexual trauma. The demand for our service has never been as significant as it is now - and we’re glad to help but we can’t do it alone. To continue supporting the community, we would love your assistance. If you were able to, you can donate to our crowdfunding campaign as we’re aiming to raise $10,000 by 17 November. Any amount is useful and will contribute to therapeutic equipment/materials and subsidising therapy sessions. Some of the other important ways you can help include: • Liking and sharing our posts • Reviewing our service if you’ve used it • Volunteering your time Learn more at https://givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/help-us-to-empower-those-with-special.

We're thankful to our expert team, students, partners, supporters and our very deserving clients for all of their support over the years.
