This is a one off Classical Comedy Burlesque 90min class. Perfect for both beginners and experienced Burlesque dancers 💃

"I'm nervous, I've never danced before"
This is a perfect introduction to the art of strip-tease and burlesque as we're learning both the fundamentals with a lighthearted comical twist. It's a beginner friendly class, and is about connecting your inner sensuality to your funny bone🦴

"Does this involve nudity, I'm body conscious"
No nudity/bra removal will be part of this cheeky workshop, we will be teasing with more burlesque related wizardry, and every gender, shape, size and age is welcome to this class - it's our safe space💗

"Do I need to bring anything"
Just a bottle of water and your inner goddess. ✨️ Notebooks can be handy for any notes you may want to take. Iwill be teaching in Latin dance shoes, you are most welcome to bring your own but are not vital.
I will also provide all the props we need 💃

Life Update ✨️

So 2024 so far has been a rollercoaster 🎢

My muggle 9-5 job, through some unforseen circumstances (& no fault of my own), has opted to move forward without the need for a full time designer, leaving me to explore new creative avenues ✨️

For many years now I have felt that I have had 2 full time jobs, muggle me sitting behind a computer screen managing the marketing for a software company, and the sparkly traveling showgirl you see here 🤡

This is the time I take a leap into the unknown, to transform the deep passion I have for art into something sustainable.

I hope to carve out my own creative corner in this world 🌎

If you would like to support this crazy endeavor... 🤪

Shimmying into Summer 🌞✨️

So, picture this - with a whirlwind of a busy season hurtling towards me faster than a caffeinated cheetah, I decided to take a whopping three weeks off from my usual performance shenanigans. (I know, but that's a long time for me) My brain and body were like, "Give us a break!" But little did I know, it would lead to a full-blown case of the "slump-itis." I mean, not staying busy had me feeling like Bear (my 🐈‍⬛️) on a hot summer day – sluggish, unproductive, and just a tad confused. I had a VIP ticket to the "Underachievers' Club," and my creativity was MIA, probably off on a vacation too. But here's the kicker: taking a break is like a paradoxical rollercoaster ride – you need rest, but it can also throw you for a loop-de-loop. What a catch 22 🫤

However, the sun is shining, and this caffeinated cheetah is ready to jump back into that ring coach! 🫡

These past few nights have filled my cup... 💗🤩✨️

We wrapped up our first term at last night 🌙

It's taken me about 5 years to muster up the courage to teach outside of workshops & hens parties. My imposter syndrome really shone here.

- I'm not good enough to teach
- Students won't find this useful
- I'll fumble and fall with words & moves
- I don't want to disappoint anyone

My goddess in shining rhinestones proposed we do it together. With her 10+ years teaching experience and our deep connection to one another, it made all my insecurities fade away.

In a matter of minutes, "maybe one day" became a "LETS FU***NG DO THIS"

It wasn't till writing the curriculums & history that I truly realised how much info I had stored in this old noggin over the 10ish years I've been doing burlesque.

Hand in hand, Ying and yang, sun and moon, I'm so proud of what we've created Michelle, my showgirl wifey 😘

I'm so proud of our students.
To see the growth in every single one of them over a mere 6 weeks was such an amazing sight to witness. Wow weee wow wahhh! 🤩

I truly can't wait for what the future holds ✨️😏✨️
