These rainy days have been a great excuse for having fun with some of the gorgeous fabrics and vintage crochet in my large stash , needle cases and sewing kits .

After over 7&1/2 months of being in storage I now have my new studio space finished. So wet days are inside days and dry days are outside creating new gardens , it’s amazing how when you keep working away it all comes together, i can now catch up on my sewing projects and start creating some new artwork with ideas I have been developing in my head. Roll on Spring 🌱🌸🥬

Well this year has seen a focus on a new direction in my life , my love of gardening and being outdoors has snowballed and now I am doing gardening for other people and loving it. This has meant time in my studio has been limited to rainy days, which really is not much or enough, so I have decided to take a break from sewing in the meantime.
All my current stock is now available at Lily in Palmerston, Leonie has a wonderful shop well worth checking out.

I have decided to bring some early Xmas cheer by adding these new items

Next weekend I will be exhibiting at the Christchurch Women's Lifestyle Expo, for months now every waking moment apart from my paid employment and fulfilling orders has been creating for this event , sewing , weaving and knitting , I think I have been dreaming about it too. With it only being confirmed recently ( waiting for Level 1 ) there are a lot of finishing touches being done to bring it all together.

I have been having more fun deconstructing jeans , then combining with other gorgeous fabrics and lace to create a couple of one off vests . They are quite hard to photograph well as my mannequin is a bit too small , hopefully you will get the best parts.

I love combining a variety of textured materials together to create something unique and stunning . You will never bump into someone wearing the same jacket . This one is a size 12 and $329.00

I have finally finished this textured black jacket , started weeks ago .
The right front was made from strips of various black fabrics woven and stitched together to create a piece of usable fabric ( that took hours ) then the back was overlayed with similar strips. The cross brooch looks great adding extra interest, but not necessary if not your cup of tea. A unique piece that could be yours $349.00 PM me if interested .

This jacket is a combination of 3 pairs of jeans , some vintage crochet, kimono silk and a variety of other fabrics, and many hours of work.

This weeks new styles

Well it’s been a busy week sending off orders , including Australia. But managed to make two new styles .
The Merino kimono inspired coat is easy to wear and very flattering featuring new kimono silk fabric . A wrap over split back and side pockets, wear it open or tie together.
The Batwing top has a cuff with splits and a flattering neckline , gorgeous colours.
