Perinatal Mental Health Partnership have posted more on the social media about what to expect this week;

One session very close and personal to my own heart is below and can be found on their social media channels. I suffered with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) throughout my whole pregnancy until the moment my son was born, and the toll it takes on you physically and emotionally is one I will not forget 🤍 Without the amazing help from Pregnancy Sickness Support I don't know where myself or my son would be today 🤍

Welcome to Perinatal Mental Health Awareness Week 2024 💙

This week we acknowledge the various experiences of perinatal distress and those ways we can work towards improved mental health.

We acknowledge, and honuor, those who experience perinatal distress in it’s various forms – depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis and, of course, trauma.

The theme for this year's Perinatal Mental Health Awareness Week is ‘connection’ 💙

Connection with others, whether they are part of the birth trauma community or not, can make our own experience seem far less daunting and tough.
Connection is vital as we work towards wellness.

Today, as part of PADA - Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Aotearoa's events throughout the week, Birth Trauma Aotearoa is connecting with others who work in the perinatal mental health sector – strong connections among those of us who work in this space mean we can work more effectively and positively for the communities we work for.
These organisational connections can also mean collaboration which leads to improvements for our communities.

We mihi to all of the other organisations and individuals working in the perinatal mental health space across Aotearoa.
And, of course, we send our love to the whānau working through any kind of perinatal distress 💙
