Dr Lisa Daniels and Jennifer Douglas
Dr Lisa Daniels is an expert on baby-led weaning. Her PhD research involved investigating the iron and zinc intakes and status of infants following modified baby-led weaning (modified to reduce the risk of iron deficiency, growth faltering and choking) compared with spoon-fed infants. Dr Daniels is a research fellow in the Department of Human Nutrition at the University of Otago. Her current area of research is maternal and infant nutrition, specifically investigating the micronutrient concentration of breast milk of exclusively breastfed infants in Indonesia.
Jennifer Douglas is a Paediatric (children’s) Dietitian who has been working with families and children for over 12 years. She specialises in food allergy, fussy eating and gut issues. Jennifer runs her own private practice and is passionate about improving children’s health and development with good nutrition. She has two children of her own and understands the challenges of raising children within a busy household.
