A challenging journey so far- but here I am, finally in south India, enjoying the amazing fruits (and vegetables). Locally grown and organic and beautifully displayed as you can see.
It’s a bit surreal here after a few years of lockdown. More photos to come!
Our final day for classes for 2022 is Thursday 1st December. We start back on Tuesday 31st January 2023.

From this Friday 3rd December Utopian Yoga will be following the COVID-19 Protection Framework (traffic lights system). For these purposes, we fall under the gym category and will be requiring vaccine certificates.
What this means is that we will be open and able to operate at all levels - green, orange, and red. 😀
If some part of my body packs up there are plenty of “fixers” out there that I can go to. What's the problem with that?
Back to our regular sessions in person from this Thursday. I look forward to seeing you all in person. :)
Yoga practice is useful in changing our predominant modus from the sympathetic nervous nervous system which stimulates action and the fight/flight response to the parasympathetic nervous system which calms, relaxes and rejuvenates us. Yoga can rebalance us towards this calming effect. A major key in the process is the incorporation of gentle slow smooth breathing.
Ahimsa - the practice of non violence - Utopian Yoga To release constant tension requires a lot of attention. Constructing a mind of gentleness, kindness, patience and compassion.
Classes are still on during lockdown. We've just moved them online. Regular Tuesday and Thursday classes from the comfort of your own home. Contact me and I'll send you the link to our Zoom classes.

You wouldn't expect to lift a 100kg barbell over your head without some training and the same should go for yoga. Get the essentials, get the most out of your practice and importantly avoid injury.
