The second chair from Rods farm shed.
This one had a broken front rail, so I ended up removing the all the springs and adding a foam seat base topped with a feather seat cushion.
It has been upholstered in a blue/green velvet, along with Sanderson's William morris "Fruit"

A chair transformed
I was given 2 of these old armchairs by a local farmer who extracted them from his shed.
The chairs were taken apart, and the dead things were removed, then they were cleaned, painted, re-sprung and reupholstered.
The fabric is William Morris's Willow by Sandersons
So very satisfying to make an unusable chair useable once again
