We had a great question! What's the difference between supermarket & salon shampoo & conditioner? I did a strand test to show you, this client uses supermarket shampoo. As you can see in the video she has a build up of waxes on her hair, so for us hairdressers we can't guarantee your colours as the colour we apply sits on top of this and washes off every time you wash your hair, colour is unable to penetrate into the hair shaft properly. This will be the reason it feels so nice and lovely like "you just stepped out of a salon" ........ because you just covered your hair in wax. Salon supported shampoo & conditioner have a lot more organic ingredients, less un-needed ingredients & no sulphate. Simply, shampoo is designed to clean, clean off extra oils & dirt, conditioner is designed to smooth, creating shine. I personally think, why would you pay a couple of hundred dollars on a cut and colour to wash it down the drain? Invest! It's a wise investment!
