Otago Polytechnic Te Whakaora Ngangahau | School of Occupational Therapy here in Ōtepoti have been fortunate to hold an Employment Opportunities Expo for Year 3 ākonga completing the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. We have had representation from Te Whatu Ora, Habit Health, WellSouth, APM who have employed many of our new graduates in previous years and are keen to attract our future graduates. This expo has included time for ākonga to talk directly with these employers but they also had the opportunity to submit applications for mock vacancies and have practice interviews with each employer. This is a valuable opportunity for our ākonga to hear about real life work opportunities as well as have the chance to be as prepared as they can for any position they apply for in the near future.
