Stefan's Snaps
I take pictures of things, mostly birds. Not always birds, though. Some things aren't birds.
It's so hard to get a good shot of a Pīwakawaka, but try for long enough and they start to add up.
Love these flighty little friends.
Good girls, 10/10

Some photos I did at a Portrait workshop last year.
This little Piwakawaka was feeling flirty on a local track!

You don't need a fancy camera to take good photos!
These were from my Oppo X5 Pro, but you don't even need that fancy a phone. If your phone camera has a "Pro" mode, learning how to use it can provide great results!
The amazing view from our motel in Hamner on New Years. I couldn't believe the beauty of the light and landscape, it was truly magical (And we only got a little sunburned)

Been doing some new work on some old snaps I maybe didn't look as closely as I should have last time. Here's a few new passes of old classics!
A beautiful Matuku Moana ( or White Face Heron) (Egretta novaehollandiae) hanging out by the lake in Greymouth. They very rarely let me get this close, so I was pretty stoked that this one didn't seem to be bothered by my presence!

The Weka are getting friendlier and friendlier with me. I'm not sure if it's because they're accepting me as one of their own, or because they're planning something nefarious. I'll keep you posted.

Don't look at the sky too much, I got the sensor dirty and spent a long time to make it look as good as it does. Concentrate on the mountains!

Takahē snuggles at Zealandia Ecosanctuary.
I want to make it clear, the takahē are snuggling each other, I did not snuggle the takahē. That would not be good for the takahē. Please do not snuggle the takahē if you are a human.
