Our latest fundraising venture is Cookie Time cookies! 20 delicious 25g original iconic recipe chocolate chunk cookies baked fresh in a bag for $20! These are great for stashing in lunchboxes, handbags and pockets, and you all know how good they taste...

This one works the same as the wine fundraiser. You pre-order many many bags of cookies before the offer closes on 3 March, pay the funds to our bank account, and we expect to have the cookies available around the 17th of March.

We'd love you to support us by buying cookies, but we'd love you forever if you convince your friends and whānau to grab some as well. Just make sure they tell us your name, so we know who they need the cookies to be delivered to!

Kia Ora whānau! Grab your mates and test your general knowledge in our Pub Quiz, raising funds to get us to International in Cleveland! The quiz starts at 8pm on 6 March at 'The Cook' on Cook Street in Hamilton East.

Tickets are $20 and available from your favourite Suspect, or at Eventbrite at the link in the comments.

Maximum team size is 8 - if you've got too many friends you can split into two teams, and we'll do our best to seat you at neighbouring tables.

We'll also have tickets available for our firewood raffle and a mystery raffle. We'll sing a couple I'm sure, and just quietly there are some tee shirts on the way shortly, and without hyping them too much they are awesome!

Kia Ora whaanau! Every once in a while something happens that is so heart warming you need to share it.
Yesterday we got a call from Peter Ward from the City of Sails Chorus, who has been washing cars at his retirement village over three weekends to fundraise for our trip to Cleveland. It is incredibly humbling to know that people believe in us so much they would go to all this trouble to help us out.
You're an absolute legend Peter, and much aroha to you from The Usual Suspects.

Kia Ora whaanau! Richard our tenor is enjoying the sun this morning, selling firewood raffle tickets at the entry to Tamahere market. Stop in and have a chat, and grab some tickets!

Kia Ora whaanau! We are raffling a trailerload of around 2.4 ‘thrown’ cubic metres of farm fresh, free range, organic, dairy and gluten free, spray free, split firewood to fund our trip to Cleveland!

The wood is a mix of Macrocarpa and Wattle trees so will burn nice and hot once dry. It is relatively ‘wet’ right now, but if stored correctly it will be ready to burn this winter.

We’ll deliver for free within 30 minutes of Hamilton city centre, and hand stack the wood for you, assuming we can get the trailer close enough.

Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10, which is a bargain considering the value and quantity of firewood. Please either comment below or message your favourite suspect for payment instructions.

The raffle will be drawn on March 6 at our Pub Quiz at The Cook in Hamilton East – which is just another reason (although you shouldn’t have needed one) that you should go!

Kia ora Usual Suspects whānau. As promised, this is the first fundraiser towards the goal of competing on the ‘big stage’ at the 2024 Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention in Cleveland, Ohio USA.

Here is this cunning fundraising plan: you buy WINE, we get money back. It's ingenious I know. This is how it works: you order and pay for wine up front via a form (I'll email you or PM), and it will be delivered to Hamilton in late November, just in time for Christmas presents or parties, or both! We're not allowed to post the form here for commercial reasons, but these are well known labels at sharp prices. No obligation if you just want a look at the form without committing.

This one's best suited for our local Hamilton crew, possibly Auckland and further afield if your favourite 'Suspect' can deliver or you are passing through the 'Tron yourself. Please note it's too expensive to courier, so delivery will have to wait until we physically see you next. Please feel free to share it with your friends if you're happy to be middle person for delivery.

Kia ora Usual Suspects whānau, we've got an important announcement to make, so deep breath, here goes...

We were so thrilled, shocked and excited to be your 2023 BHNZ National Champion Quartet at Pan Pacific, which was a goal we worked towards, but never really thought would happen. Thanks so much to you all for your support and good wishes, we've greatly appreciated all of the aroha sent our way over the last couple of weeks.

Now that we have achieved a gold medal, we've collectively been reassessing our goals and we have realised that our priorities have changed. We all have a lot of personal commitments outside of the quartet demanding more and more of our time with our families, work, Mighty River Harmony and Manu Mātātahi etc. We intend to remain as close as brothers, but I hope you will all understand that we have taken the tough but unavoidable decision to... travel to Cleveland in 2024 to compete at the BHS International!

We've got a lot to work out, and a massive amount of fundraising to do, but the 'grind to Cleveland' starts here and now. There is no-one else we'd rather sing with on the International stage, and we hope you will all support us with our fundraising activities along the way. And there will be more than a few...
