Introducing Viv: "I am: Viv Beck and this dress was chosen in memory of my parents, who inspired my interest in fashion and style. They didn’t have much when they arrived in New Zealand and their love of beautiful things like art, music and flowers was always uplifting." On display in 'to fashion' within our Foyer Galleries from the New Zealand Fashion Museum.

Introducing Tayi: "I am Tayi Tibble, 26. I am an indigenous poet and writer from Te Whanganui a Tara, Aotearoa. My iwi are Te Whānau ā Apanui and Ngāti Porou. I am the author of two books, Poukahangatus (2018) and Rangikura (2021). I work as a publicist at Te Herenga Waka University Press." On display in 'to fashion' within our Foyer Galleries from the New Zealand Fashion Museum.

Introducing Taane: "This is me: I am Māori, Queer and proud. Age has never been something that concerned me. I am constantly surprised at how much I enjoy dressing up. It warms my character when I vibe to my own rhythm and how I can express through what I wear. Dance has kept me moving and yoga has kept me youthful and mobile." On display in 'to fashion' within our Foyer Galleries from the New Zealand Fashion Museum. You will find the portrait of Zeenat by Edith Amituana on display in our Foyer Galleries as part of 'to fashion' from the New Zealand Fashion Museum.

Introducing Six: "Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a fan of wealth and taste. My name is Six. Why Six? Because Seven seemed ostentatious. My mountain is a mystery. My river is a riddle. But I am from the land and of the land and to the land I will return. I grew up in Kirikiriroa, of Scottish and English decent, with three sisters, a traditional mum and a hardworking stepfather. My parents gave me love, support and good values. During your darkest days you can lose everything, but no one can steal your values.."
