the Basque Burnt Cheesecake.

a mix to a degree between a creme brulee pudding and a cheesecake.

a unique texture that's rich and creamy on the outer and slightly runny in the center, bit like a cake version equivalent to a soft centered poached egg.

a deliberately but cautiously burnt ombre top that gives a distinctive caramelized taste that is enriched by the richness of the Philadelphia cream cheese.

best eaten at 20 minutes out of the fridge to get the full taste of the cheese at room temperature while still getting the chilled pudding feeling only in the middle.

so much to experience all in one bite!

I'm not going to be at my usual morning spot during the lockdown, but I'm going to be doing contactless pick up or contactless doorstep coffee deliveries! Bit like ice cream truck, but coffee🚍 and no music no song sorry.. I could try sing over a speaker but that would be a bit awful for the neighborhood :)

If you are located in the 0618 postcode area (only Hobsonville, West Harbour at this stage not Whenuapai not Herald Island sorry) between West Gate to Hobsonville Point, ordering 4 coffees or more from your location, I can deliver to your home/office/site/car/shed/boat/random spot that you're standing on the street for no extra charge😊

life is like a stack of alternating coloured cups (arranged by my creative 9yo coworker😄), you never know what you're gonna get.

I bet the most spoken phrase for today will be what a year 2020 has been! and my, what a year 2020 has been!

went from working at the airport, to the reservations office, then delivering food parcels to ppls homes, then volunteering at the hospital during lockdown, while at the same time doing event & wedding cakes for people, and now driving a 5000lbs manual van doing coffees for early workers! what a journey it has been for just one year🙈

thank you to those who encouraged, supported, and helped along the way.
and thank you to everyone who helped with the van! from building the interior; to the van wrapping; to teaching me how to drive manual; to nailing & bolting things on; to decorating the insides; to feng shui energy clearing; to site approval; to sampling and tasting coffee beans; to coming over and giving me coffee training and bringing me bits I need etc etc etc. thank you all for help making it happen!!🙌

at this point just feeling super grateful that I got here at 31 Dec in the end, my nearest and dearest they're here, and to everyone reading this you also made it here! please continue to stay safe and stay well no matter what life decides to throw at you😘😘
