Gearbox stripped. Broken circlip found. Possibly failed at Woodhill. Box now getting a bit of TLC and a new circlip. Prep now underway for next championship round. “Let’s Go Racing!”

Race done early for #157 Tony McCall with 3 wins from 3 starts in Shortcourse and a 3rd in Class 1 in the Enduro. On the trailer after 70% of enduro race distance completed on a gearbox that started strong, but by lap two was bouncing out of gear and by lap three the forth gear was gone.
Thanks to Otago Offroad Racing Club for an awesome event. Slim Slee and family for such an awesome venue. Thanks also to the Kurow Hotel for the fantastic hospitality. This was a race for National series points and its mission accomplished with enough points in the bag to keep the challenge alive for the overall championship.

Now it’s just a 17hour drive back to the workshop where the transmission will be pulled and Larry the Cog Fixer will wave his magic wand and get 157 back on the start line in a couple of weeks!
