Thank you for your patience.
Please see below an update from Health NZ/Te Whatu Ora regarding changes to funding for our rangatahi/youth population between 14 and 24 years of age.
Eligibility criteria for funded services will be changing from 01 September. Funded services will now only be available for those who meet the criteria listed. Any 14-24 year olds who do not fall into one of the categories will now have to pay to see a Doctor/Nurse Practitioner ($55) or Practice Nurse ($40).
Whilst we know that this is a disappointing change for many of our patients, we ask that you are kind to our staff as they have no control over these changes and are as disappointed as you.
Feedback about this change should be sent directly to Te Whatu Ora.
If you have visited any of our clinics in the last couple of weeks you may have received a survey to complete 📝 The survey will be sent via email or text the day after your appointment.
The patient survey allows us to learn from your experience at the practice, and helps us to continuously work on improving the service and care we provide.
The survey is completely anonymous so unless you leave your contact details in the comments box, we won't be able to contact you to discuss your response.
If you don't want to receive the survey, there is an opt out option on the email, or reply STOP if you have received the survey via text.
We look forward to receiving your feedback 😀

Thanks to our colleagues at Te Whatu Ora ‐ Te Matau a Māui Hawke’s Bay for sharing some really useful information about how to look after yourself in the heat 🥵
Enjoy the weekend and the weather 😎 but make sure you stay safe.
As temperatures rise, it’s important to watch out for dehydration, especially in babies, older adults and people who work outside.
Ways to recognise mild dehydration:
- a dry, sticky mouth and tongue
- feeling lightheaded or weak
- a headache
- feeling very tired
- dark yellow or brown wee
- not going to the toilet as much, or fewer wet nappies (or not as wet as usual).
Ways to prevent dehydration:
- Always drink plenty of fluids during the day, especially when working or exercising in the sun.
- Water is best. Avoid high-sugar, high-calorie drinks such as undiluted fruit juice, fizzy drinks and sports drinks. Caffeinated and alcoholic drinks can make dehydration worse.
- Carry on breastfeeding, or bottle feeding your pēpi/baby as normal. You may need to feed them more often and drink extra liquid yourself if you are breastfeeding.
- Drink plenty of fluids if you have diarrhoea, vomiting or fever – see your doctor if you cannot keep fluids down.

📌Globally we lose one man to su***de EVERY MINUTE of EVERY HOUR of EVERY DAY
