Happy New Year everybody!! It’s probably a bit late to say but I don’t mind none.

Turned up to a rowdy looking section which hasn’t seen me in a while, so I took to it and gave it a new years make over. The job was to bring the embankment back to manageable, ✅ and to prune back a couple of well established hedges ✅ to maintain the roadside verge ✅

It was so hot I felt like I had heat stroke. But nevertheless, pushed on through and gave the client, in which i deemed, a great result.

This section is always well maintained and it is always a pleasure to be apart of it.

A hedge with a few variations brought back to shape. Straight,parallel and clean underneath.

Deck extension a few weeks back.

Added a couple of platforms to a deck extension to make a nice and easy transition from stones to deck. Any small construction needs or jobs need doing. I’m your man.

Good morning all.

Spent a couple of days replacing some old and tired looking sleepers, with some new railway sleepers and boy were they heavy , must have been at least 60kg each and they weren’t wet either.
Replaced 12 in all and they came up really nicely.

Also a bit framing was put together to carry some
Plywood and is going to be used for a graffiti feature wall. I have never seen this done at a property before and I am looking foward to seeing the result.

Before I started my journey as a gardener I was a builder and dabbled in many parts of construction. This week I was in Wellington to give a hand to a couple of special people that will always be very close to my heart.

A new laundry was on the cards, so I just dug in.

Result didn’t look to shabby either. Clients were very happy. There you go Mum and Dad. Love you both xx

A Big thanks to Matt and the Lads MJ Building and landscaping ltd for passing me on some work yesterday. From what I saw, there’s going to be a great new look created.

Big hedge needed a bit of a haircut and some under burden cleared away ready for some earthworks. So I took it, and threw caution to the wind. ( although there was no wind to be felt haha. ) Result, left the hedge looking a bit twiggy, but pruning it hard back will let in light and increase rammification in what I believe to be a very established “Red Robbin”. I’m happy with how it turned out none the less.

Looking foward to seeing the regrowth with the stunning red colour.

Good afternoon, I gave , what I thought was an old garden box a good clean out today. I didn’t know there was a walking path around it either so was good to clean and w**d spray that so the garden is now accessible from all view points.

Love these little jobs. I get so much fulfilment. The soil condition is really good and has clearly been worked on in previous seasons. Now the client can get planting.

Another sun filled day yesterday. I’m really happy to be working on such high calibre properties. It was a great looking house and section and what a view!!! A few hours spent on a little spruce up and what a difference it has made. A big thanks to the owners for taking me on. Have a happy week ahead whanau!!!

What a beautiful day out in Atawhai yesterday. I had the pleasure of taking a somewhat overgrown tiered back section and giving it a nice wee freshen up. Absolutely great looking section. I’m sure the owners will be enjoying their summer days soaking up the sun in such a picturesque setting. 🌳🥰🌳🥰🌳🥰🌳

Honestly, these are the times that my job becomes a labour of love, rather than a slave to labour.

Removed a little tree up against a dwelling. Opened the space up quite nicely.
