2021 = Goals, life, stuff & things ✅✅✅
2022 = Goals, life, stuff & things ☑☑☑
Happy New Year everyone! Keep working hard, keep achieving your goals, & enjoy the ride 🥰🥰 I'm off to sleep, too old for this 'stay up until midnight' nonsense 😴
Two months late for posting, but I needed to get this out. Thank you to everyone who donated & supported us in our marathon in October!! It wasn't the live event that we were hoping for, but together WE managed to raise $1,000 for mental health ❤❤ I appreciate you all for the effort that was contributed, & I'm looking forward to our next event in 2022 🏋♂️
FUNDRAISING FOR MENTAL HEALTH
I'm so grateful for the donations that have been received over the last few months. Thanks to all of you, this fundraising can be used to help (& most likely save) so many lives for our youth in New Zealand. I'm proud of all of you for generously donating to mental health 🥰
This page closes tonight, but there are still a few hours left if anyone wants to finish off the final stretch & hit our goal! Link below for any last minute donations ❤ We'll be back next year, dressed up & ready for another run!

A quick mid-marathon update from a few weekends back.
Sending a reminder that our fundraising page still remains active!!! We are $220 away from hitting our target of $1,000! If you are able, please go to the link below to donate towards mental health. Your support so far has been absolutely amazing, & I'm so grateful for those that have sponsored towards a great cause ❤❤ As a double feature, I'll do 1,000 press ups if you can get us to our goal 💪🏽

FUNDRAISING FOR MENTAL HEALTH
Tauranga Half Marathon 2021 virtually complete! Finished the day off with too many calories, a few drinks, & a slight limp.
Super stoked to also see Dan Parsons-Hammond participate in his first event, very proud of you Dan! Thanks for joining me, & keeping me distracted from the pain we call cardio.
Thank you to all of those who have supported us & donated towards a great cause. If anyone else would like to make donations, the link below will remain active until the end of October 🥰
Looking forward to running again in 2022! Any ideas on the next costume?

FUNDRAISING FOR MENTAL HEALTH
The Marathon has been updated again, which means we may get another chance to go for the virtual run!
Here's a map planned out by if we get to participate this Sunday. Feel free to come watch, & remember to donate to the link below 🥰

FUNDRAISING FOR MENTAL HEALTH
I'm on Strava now! There is one more week until race day, so we're getting some extra training sessions done. My donation page will stay open until the end of October, & link is posted below if you're keen to support my run & fundraising.

FUNDRAISING FOR MENTAL HEALTH
This weekend was supposed to be the date, but & I have decided we will be running at the event. Same distance, same costume, & still fundraising. If we get enough donations, I might even do a bonus 21km in costume down Cameron Road 🤘🏽

FUNDRAISING FOR MENTAL HEALTH
For my second Marathon event, I'll be running as Green Lantern 😂 Keeping the spirit alive with by dressing up as a superhero to raise money for a good cause ❤
I'll also have running at my side, to keep me distracted from the pain. Donations are going great, but we're still a while away from our goal. Thank you to all the people who have supported us so far! Link below if you would like to donate as well 🥰

SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE
In honour of the Tauranga Marathon, which has been postponed due to Covid, this months challenge is to complete 21km of cardio per week. That is 3km every day, which would be a perfect start to anyone beginning their fitness journey!
Here are the stats from my run this morning, which is basically the event completed. I'll still be completing the event on the 19th of this month, hopefully as a virtual run. Again, donation link is below if you'd like to support my fundraising for mental health!
I promise, this will be the last new cardio challenge of the year!!!

FUNDRAISING FOR MENTAL HEALTH
A few weeks ago, I convinced that it would be a fun time to do the half marathon with me. As part of his 'training', he has already run the length of the event!
Dan has also agreed to run 21km with me on September 19th, regardless of the event going ahead or not. If you would like to sponsor both of us, & donate to help support resources for Mental Health, then click the link below ❤

FUNDRAISING FOR MENTAL HEALTH
Still training for the Half Marathon, although it probably won't go ahead. I'll continue to run for 21km around my neighbourhood if I have to. Lock down or not, I'm still raising money for mental health.
If you'd like to donate, please visit the link below. I'll also have my costume announcement coming to you soon 😂 Stay safe everyone, & look after each other!
https://givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/quinn-hireme-tauranga-half-marathon
Tomorrow is the beginning of something I have wanted to work on for a long time; a specific style of training catered to the components of fitness that I most value.
I have spent a lot of time doing the theory behind it, & now I am happy to trial it out! It also gives me an excuse to make a cool badge for it 😎
I'm going for a run again!
Next month, I will be participating in the Tauranga Half Marathon to raise money for a good cause again. This year, I have decided to choose Key To Life as my Charity, in support of funding mental health for our youth.
I'll not be running as Aquaman, because I decided to get a hair cut 😥 But hopefully, I'll be able to gear up in something else, & keep the Super Hero trend inspired by Josh Pinho
If you'd like to donate, please follow the link below. Any donation amount will be greatly appreciated ❤ If you'd like to come see me tremble over the finish line, the event will take place on September 19th 😀

& I went for a run this morning, & covered 14km. Training for a purpose 💪🏽
AUGUST CHALLENGE
Since the start of the year, I have been doing 100 press ups every day. Press ups primarily activate the chest, shoulder & tricep muscles. For the month of August, we are going to be giving our tricep muscles an extra boost, by doing tricep dips. So find a chair, bench, or stool, & give yourself a solid 60 reps of tricep dips each day.
JULY CHALLENGE
For July, going to add a bit of cardio & co-ordination together, & break this down into sets...
Step up sprints x10ea
Step jumps x10
Toe taps x10ea
3 sets, every day, get it 💪🏽😬
JUNE CHALLENGE
This monthly challenge has been brought to you by Dan!
Plank challenge: Hold a plank for as long as possible, & try to beat your time each day. Don't start your month off with an easy time either, just to guarantee a daily record... Start with a time you're proud of, & grow from there!
This evening, I stopped my workout to quickly film my guest. Since I have been focusing on training in my car port, my clients & I have had visits from hordes of wasps, a frog, & now a hedgehog. Looking forward to our next visit from the animal kingdom 🦍
MAY CHALLENGE
Alright, those burpees in April SUCKED!!! Lets make it a bit easier this month...
This time last year, I challenged a friend to do 500 lunges during lock down. I had to give it a go too, & it was great! So, for the month of May, 50 lunges every day. Easier than burpees, but harder than doing notning 💪🏽 Have fun!
Part 2 of our field trip today! We went to visit to have burgers for lunch, but couldn't leave without getting a tour of first. The kids had a blast with the kettlebells, then tried out this out before we left. Thanks for your hospitality Jesse, always a good time hanging out with you!
Part 1 of our field trip today! I took the boys down to see the competition at memorial park. Briefly had time to catch up with .harrison was great seeing you all today! It was an awesome event, & looked like a lot of fun 💪🏽
APRIL CHALLENGE
We are a few days in, & this challenge is aldeady beating me up!
Since my birthday falls on April, I decided to choose one of my favourites for this months challenge.
In 5min, complete as many burpees as possible. It's gonna suck, but only for 5min. It's not THAT bad... Here's a video of Kaiba doing burpees with me during lock down last year ❤
MARCH CHALLENGE
Anyone keen on some extra leg workouts? This month is easy; 100 squats EVERY day of the month 😂😂😂 Load up with weight, or don't, just get 100 reps done & dusted.
Today I was supposed to run the 8.4km Fun Run in Auckland, but due to the alert Level 3 update last night, it's been cancelled. To make up for missing this event, I'm keen to jump on board with the Tauranga events, so let me know if you'd like to join! Either going to aim for the 21km, or do the easy one where the kids can join me. If you're keen, let me know 😀
PORTS OF AUCKLAND ROUND THE BAYS IS NOT GOING AHEAD
We’re sorry to let you know that the Ports of Auckland Round the Bays event is not going ahead due to the Ministry of Health’s move to Alert Level 3 in Auckland which comes into effect at 6am on Sunday, 28 February.
We know how much all our participants were looking forward to event day, but we respect the need to keep everyone safe and contain the spread of COVID-19.
We will communicate further details tomorrow (Sunday, 28 February) by email and on our website.
The Ports of Auckland Round the Bays team
FEBRUARY CHALLENGE
On the final day of this month, I will be running the Auckland Fun Run, so I thought this challenge would be good for some sport-specific training.
Through out the month, go for a run as many times as possible, & keep track of your km's as you go. All you want to do is increase that accumulated tally for yourself!
Challenge yourself, run that extra distance.
For my birthday this year, I'm thinking of entering in the Mount Maunganui obstacle course event, held by Ultimate Athlete - Mount Maunganui Obstacle Race
Who else is keen?! Are you signing up for the 6km or the 10km?!
JANUARY CHALLENGE
In 3min, complete as many press ups as possible. You can make as many attempts as you would like, the aim is to beat your own record each time.
If you want to compete against someone else, & take turns beating each others records, then that is also a great way to motivate each other!
Feel free to throw your highest score in the comments, if you're comfortable. Any negative posts or discouraging replies will be removed. This goes for all challenges throughout the year. Don't be a dick.
CLIENT WORKOUT
First heavy session for this morning. He managed a 100kg deadlift, but I was too busy being hype squad, so no evidence 😭
No one believes you Dan, do it again 💪🏽
Welcome to 2021!
Do you have any goals you want to achieve this year?
My main goals are about spending more time with my family, & driving my fitness goals to a new level.
This year, I'll be taking on more members to join my current Team that train with me at home. I'll also be doing simple challenges for my Team, to encourage a bit of extra home work. You're all more than welcome to join in online as well 😀
Finally, in my personal fitness goals, I have decided to spend my lunch breaks doing my second workout of the day. I have also cut a large amount of toxins from my body, & I am feeling GREAT for it! I'm also going to try 100 press ups every day, because my press up game is weak 😬
So, what are your goals? What do you want to do this year?
Pretending that this counts as active recovery, so I can send my children flying in the air.
PERSONAL WORKOUT
Finny pausing to model for the camera 😍
Another weekend workout hanging with my boys, using the plates as platforms to jump across while I am throwing a barbell around & doing box jumps. We're all jumping on a Saturday morning!
Haven't posted in a while...
Winter Turkey Kaiba & Spring Peacock Finn getting involved with my Labour Weekend workouts, hitting some sumo deadlifts & figuring out how to use an extremely large skipping rope.
Smashing legs, because I can [leg flex emoji]. Proud of these kids for always wanting to exercise with me. No offense to my other clients, but these two are my favourite ❤
Shout out to Kaiba's exercise face. I didn't teach him that 🤔
PERSONAL WORKOUT
Another late night session, while the kids sleep.
10 Power Snatches, 30sec Rest
5 Rounds
10 Overhead Squats, 30sec Rest
5 Rounds
This is the first time I have executed a comfortable (but still sloppy) posture in an overhead squat. I always wanted to do them, but I never had the mobility in my shoulders or legs to pull it off properly.
PERSONAL WORKOUT
Late night workout to burn some extra calories. Should start training my camera skills at some point too...
5min Max Reps of each movement!
Burpees
KB Press
Goblet Squats
KB Rows
Standing press x10
Front raise/side raise/reverse fly x7ea
Repeat while other person does...
10 press ups then 10sec hold
9 press ups then 9sec hold
Until they reach 0
Switch with partner when press ups are done
25min AMRAP
Finish with 80 v sit ups & a sweet pose 💪🏽
Getting it done in my car port with fun with little games! During my time of study, I watched another trainer playing this game while he made the client do a wall sit. This has always been a huge memory for me, from a person I truly believe is a great leader. Thanks Drax ❤
50x alt. DB snatches
Every 2 minutes, do the following
5x high knee jumps
10x press ups
Finish off with a few rounds of wall sit slaps!
