I wanna take a moment to thank everyone over the years who never gave me the love I thought I deserved. You were ABSOLUTELY right! It wasn't deserved. I needed to be continually checked & humbled. So, THANK YOU! From the deepest depths of my soul.

I listen back & cringe a bit to my older stuff. There were a couple of real gems along the way that hinted at what was possible & what was yet to come, at least on a consistent basis, but yeah, most of the stuff pre-2020's is a bit rough. Hit & miss like woah!

Overall, it’s been a long journey for me & I just want to tell new & struggling up & coming artists I'm a prime example of what can happen when you have a genuine love for the music & your genre plus a never-say-die attitude! Look, if you aren't serious about this (and this goes for anything really), you won't last long & you're just wasting your time (and everyone else's). You're on a clock. But if you are serious about it, you have no option but to continually get better over time. If all you do is level up every few months, you will eventually reach a point where you start becoming undeniable. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other & never stop moving!

I'll be honest, there have been times when I questioned my sanity. Like when I was trying to produce tracks on a laptop at 3am under the awning of a caravan while living in a holiday park for 3 months, powered by a portable battery pack all while trying to keep dry after 2 weeks of non-stop NZ monsoon rain, knowing I'm having to compete with cats in next-level studios. But what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger & I became a master at creating music under the absolute harshest & most minimal of conditions.

Ultimately, the goal has always been to eventually find myself in a place where I could make music in complete peace without a bunch of distractions. A place where capitalism held no sway over my soul. A place where I could get completely lost inside my own head. Inside the music. To return home if you will.

Even though I still don't have the studio of my dreams yet, I know it's coming because it's my destiny. Most of it is actually already here, but it’s in storage as we just need to build a place to put it. And then my wife can finally rejoin me which excites me more than anything. Sometimes I think this is more about giving it all back to her than it is for me, if she really wants it.

What I do know, is I finally have my peace & my freedom & that's more than half the battle! The distractions are pretty much gone. Just peace & quiet. For me, that's what it was always about. More than the fame, the money, the gigs, the touring, the parties. All those things at the end of the day, while validating & hella fun, I realized are just distractions dressed up in confetti & sparkles. What good is being the most well-known DJ/Producer, if you are trapped in a system that's quickly imploding? I'll tell you. NOTHING!!! That's not freedom. It's the opposite. It's prison, masquerading as freedom so it's an illusion!

Look, at the end of the day, I'm a fighter so I'm always gonna go down swinging & if you tell me I can't do something, it just lights a fire up under my ass & I will make it my life's mission to prove you wrong & myself right or die in the process. That's just how it be.

So, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to all my critics over the years!!! I love you with all my heart! You were right! You were my inspiration! No doubt! It was a tough love, but one I had to go through so when I look back I will cherish it forever!
