Can I mix things up a little?
Absolutely! The design team are happy to work with you and explore variations of colour, texture and materials to suit the style of your home. It's important when renovating to ensure the new areas integrate perfectly with the rest of the home.

This kitchen is no exception! The island has a beautifully finished solid oak bench top matched perfectly with warm white cabinets and on the opposite side cabinets are black with a light Quantum Quartz bench top in Michelangelo.

What a space!

The Shaker style, a timeless design we all know and love. It has been around since the mid 18th century so naturally this style brings a sense of familiarity and comfort.

We enjoy mixing traditional design with your added contemporary flare, creating a space that reflects your homes' style in new builds and renovations!

Take a look through this dreamy farmhouse kitchen, scullery, bathroom + laundry; the perfect example of what can be achieved if you want to apply some Shaker elements into your home.

The most recognised design element with this style is recessed panel doors. Colour schemes tend to be neutral and muted, with shades like white, cream, beige and soft pastels, contributing to a calm and uncluttered appearance.

Cabinet hardware is usually understated, with pulls in materials like wood or brass. They also often feature open shelving for farmhouse practicality.

This recently completed home sits just back from the beach, you can hear the waves from the balcony and it is bliss.

Step inside and you’re greeted with a stunning modern Landmark Home. In collaboration with Kenzi Design Ltd this home boasts a carefully designed shaker style kitchen, ready for summer entertaining.

Downstairs, the spacious internal laundry is perfect for all the beach towels and sandy feet when the kids visit and an extra fridge for catering.

Island colours are Resene Quarter Grey Friars with a Pacific Quartz Sparking White top and the doors and panels are Resene Quarter Delta - the ultimate combo.

With the clients vision leaning to light and bright, the interior was opened up to create a modern, functional space filled with natural light. A dream to work in!

Top tips for a light and bright kitchen:

Use sheer curtains or blinds to let in as much sunlight as possible.

Opt for white or light shades for the cabinets, walls and bench tops. They reflect light and make the space feel larger. You can easily soften the white with the integration of timber panelling or coloured accents.

Use a mix of overhead and under-cabinet lighting to illuminate every corner.
