Early Bird Morning Rave

Dear Early Birders, we hope you are well and looking forward to the long weekend. After a bit of a break our thinking is directed back towards hosting our next party. We were keen not to clash with the rugby so we’ve been waiting for England’s, sorry AB’s 😉run to come to an end. Against all odds (in England’s case) they both have at least another week left after this weekend regardless of their results tomorrow and Sunday.
Another significant factor when planning is the availability of Rob and Wendy Nute. Rob is our warm up DJ and our sound engineer. He is responsible for the fantastic sound system we use. Wendy is and is often the first friendly face you see when you walk through the door at the Masonic hall and is integral to what Early Bird Morning Rave is all about. Both Rob and Wendy are members of the . This is the start of their silly season so we have to position ourselves amongst their numerous gigs and festival performances. They are a fantastic band and are playing tomorrow at the here in Warkworth at 5.15, be sure to check them out. Our own resident DJ is kicking off the weekend this evening in Matakana. Gareth is playing at the from 6.30pm. He’ll be playing some disco tinged house till late. As soon as we have a date you’ll be the first to know. Hope to see you on the dance floor soon 🐦😎

Hey Early Birds. We hope you are all well.
We’ve been delighted with how our first two house parties have gone. The attendances, the enthusiasm, the performers, it’s been just what we hoped for, we thank you for making it happen.
So, what shall we do next??
We’re keen to do more and if we have the means, we’ll do our best to make it happen.
It doesn’t just have to be a Sunday morning in Warkworth. If there is a demand elsewhere we’re happy to do parties a bit further a field in different venues and at different times.
At the last event we had a suggestions box. A couple of things that popped up included, a boat party on the Jane Gifford, a Saturday/ Sunday afternoon at the Tahi bar, an Early Bird Rave in Mangawhai, and a kids free event.
Because we set the gear up the night before there is the potential for both a Saturday evening event followed by a Sunday morning one.

Scientific studies suggest what we have suspected all along, that house music is really good for you.
Studies have shown that the tempo, drops, and ‘dance ability’ of house music are greatly beneficial to the human body.
When we hear a build-up in music our body anticipates a drop coming up and therefore prepares for it which can make you feel excited and tense. When the drop arrives your body reacts to it and assesses whether it’s worthy of releasing a dopamine hit. If it is, you feel awesome.
Dancing releases endorphins and house music releases dopamine, so dancing to house music is a doubly euphoric experience.
