Good morning everyone. A big day here and I'm not talking about the US elections. As mentioned earlier my laptop had decided it was time to say bye bye. What I didn't mention that after nearly 7 years my phone has decided to do the same and the new one is supposedly arriving today. Wish me luck as my technology upgrade continues.
For today's eye candy, I thought I would concentrate on the teenagers in your life. Ultimately it'll come down to fabric design/colour as to what they might like on their bed but here are a few curated suggestions ranging between the quick and not so quick to make.

Queen of the almost a quilt pile!

Good morning everyone. Well the bullet was bitten yesterday and a new laptop has been purchased (guess what I'm posting from now!). Almost set up but yes did have a few oh bothers but working through those one by one.
What this has meant is I didn't get the new order off to Quilting Deals - Missouri Star Quilt Co as I had planned early last week. So this is definitely the last call for any MSQC products you are after as I'll be placing the order tomorrow. Next order won't be until February next year.

Good afternoon everyone. Well its official my laptop is commencing to say goodbye. Can someone explain to me why technology has a tendency on failing on you all at once? Ask me about my phone LOL. Oh well time to upgrade/update with both it seems.
On to things that help me ignore my technology woes. Lovely fabric (yes having a bit of a rejig of the sewing this weekend) AND lovely patterns from amazing designers. As I personally have a long list of Christmas related items to make from a Christmas tree skirt through to a few pressies for people, the eye candy today is all about both topics. Good morning everyone. The start of a long weekend. What are you plans? I hope there is going to be some sewing in the mix? For me its probably another weekend of spring cleaning but I'm determined to get some sewing in or my Christmas present list is going to be a very short one!
Today's curated eye candy is all about Cozy Quilt Designs. We have been stocking patterns and the Strip Tube rulers since the early days of The Practical Quilter. You'll find the patterns easy to follow (check out a few quilts we've made) and a great way to use your jelly rolls, fat quarters or fabric from your stash. We certainly have.

Good morning. Today lets talk Quilting Deals - Missouri Star Quilt Co. Its time for our next order and we definitely need to restock some of your favourites like the 2 1/2" x 8" ruler. Amazing how something so small can be so handy. And the big the 2 1/2" quilt a you go hexagon. Out of the Daisy & Grace quilt as you templates, this is by far the #1 favourite. We'll doubling our order of those for like the 3rd time in a row.l They just about sell out before we even receive with all the customer requests.
The focus of the order otherwise, will be anything new in the range though I did check with Customer rep and apparently MSQC's next big release will be late February next year, Let us know if you're after MSQC products. Good morning and wow its middle of October already. All I can say is where is time disappearing too? Although I didn't do any sewing over the weekend, I did spend a bit of time de cluttering my office cm sewing room and what a difference it made. Good morning everyone. Well we are on standby to head to the airport to pick up a family member arriving in a few hours. This will be the start of having family coming and going for the next five months including having my mother with us for Christmas for the first time in at least 20 years in New Zealand.
Speaking of Christmas, 81 days until the day and I'm looking forward to spending it at our holiday house for the first time AND what are we going to be eating 😀Lots of planning ahead. On that note, I'm pleased to advise I have placed our next order with the USA supplier. We were able to secure all the requests that were sent through so now its waiting time. Good morning everyone. I hope you're weekend has been enjoyable so far? My focus this weekend has been catching up on chores around the house after being away for a month AND finally taking the opportunity to get rid of the last of the jet lag.
I haven't managed to pull the sewing machine out yet but have been sorting through fabrics to make my father a quilt as well as sorting through and pulling out various UFOs/projects that I want to finish off. So its a bit of an "organising" weekend. For me, the prep for quilting is as important as the actual sewing. What about you?
I thought for today's eye candy,I would focus on ideas for Christmas presents to make friends, family or maybe that upcoming Secret Santa. Its going to be a busy few months coming up for us as we have family here for Christmas and other family members coming for a visit.
