Absolutely appalling behaviour. Such people really disgust me. What the thieves also don't realise is that despite the retail value of $3000 worth of bags, it's likely the maximum they'd get in the black market would be about half of that, so about $1500 "if" they manage to sell the lot. Seriously hope they're caught.

Just wanted to warn you all as many thieves try to sell stolen handbags on marketplace and Facebook groups, so be wary of any bags you buy advertised by the seller as "new" unless they have proof of purchase from a legitimate store. Also receipts can be fake also, so do your due diligence as much as you can. Buyer beware.

The once-impeccable stitching had begun to unravel, and the heel areas had lost their supportive shape. It was time for a spa day for these luxuriously warm slippers. 🪡

Every stitch was carefully planned and repaired with meticulous care, every seam realigned as best it could despite some felt loss and stretched suede leather.

The suede leather sole sides at the heel and toe were reattached where they had come away from the felt, and the heels repaired to regain their once graceful curves. ✨

Now, Wendy's Glerup slippers have enjoyed their spa day here at Restituo, they are once again ready to grace her feet with warmth and comfort, a reminder that true luxury transcends fleeting trends. 😌

Health Update - 10 Sept 2024

Things are not going well for me health wise. Over the weekend, I was barely able to stand and walk, besides a few brief periods. More edema in random parts previously not affected.

I've been in and out of Dr care for the better part of a year and a half for a variety of concerns and it feels like whatever has been happening has been playing musical chairs with my body parts.

Patience is greatly appreciated. I'm much much much slower than I was before, and far from being in good physical condition. 🥹🥲

Some items are so uniquely made they call for the use of gold or imitation gold, which is so delicate one has to use special tweezers to pick it up....

It's incredibly hard to work with too, the only way to cut it into strips is to carefully lay it within tissue paper then place it into a sheet of folded thicker paper so it doesn't tear all over the place.

Back in my teens, I fell head over heels for the iconic Louis Vuitton Speedy. Fast forward to 2012, 25 year old me was strolling through Harrods in London, I spotted a bag that screamed my name – a red Harrods version of the Speedy 25 Bandoulière! 💃🕺 I was SO excited, you can see me celebrating in the photo! 😅

To this day, that red beauty holds a special place in my heart, even though I still dream of owning the real deal LV Speedy in red. ❤️

HEALTH UPDATE:

I was so excited to re-open and start taking repair and restoration orders in again, but my body had other ideas about how this was going to go.

Since re-opening, I have had to go to the after hours for chemical burns on my hands (skin loss, blisters and very swollen finger tips and palms). This has created a massive delay on current backlog work (which is my highest work priority).

Yesterday I developed a very swollen finger on my dominant took hand and some other weird swelling on my dominant mouse using hand making using a mouse and holding objects very difficult.

All this has happened in the space of a week all the while still dealing with my original long term injuries which started a year ago around May/June 2023 alongside a cancer scare which is not entirely out of the woods yet ever since November 2023 to present with future tests lined up this year.

I'm feeling defeated. I've been in pain for 12 months straight. Medication doesnt help much. Most nights end in tears. All I want is my health back and my backlog work to be all done and dusted. But my hands and health say no. Which means everything is late, slow, disjointed, and an awful customer experience for all my poor backlog clients.

Sadly I can't outsource my work. So the only realistic option is to just work on everything at a healthy pace, which is hard and made harder if I'm expected to work at a normal pace 100% of the time, and given the unpredictable nature of what the hell has been happening to me.

So, if you're waiting for your item still and it's been with me forever and ever, please know I am working on everything at a snail's pace, it will all be done eventually and I'm just as sad, frustrated, and angry as you are that it's taken this long and I'm truly sorry from the bottom of my heart.

Being vulnerable is hard. But it's harder to go through it alone. This road to fixing whatever is wrong with me while keeping clients happy has been pulling at every heart string of mine. Many times to a point I've put the business and work ahead of my own health needs. But to serve the business well, it needs to be the other way around before I run myself fully into the ground.
