Introducing the Natalia Romper!

The Natalia is our romper version of our Penny pinafore, available in sizes from newborn to 4 years, priced at $55 each (excluding additional costs).
Here are the options available for your romper.

Ruffles:
● Normal: Each romper comes with one layer of ruffles, as shown in the picture.
● No ruffles: For a less feminine look or for a boy's romper.
● Double ruffles: For an extra flourish (additional fee applies).

Straps:
● Normal: Longer straps to tie in the back.
● Buttons: Two buttonholes are added to each strap for extended wear. This option is available for sizes newborn to 6 months only.

The Natalia Romper is crafted in the Dusted Flowers fabric. However, if you have your own fabric or have seen another fabric you'd like for the Natalia Romper, please let me know. We offer a variety of fabrics to choose from, including:
● Dusted Floral (cotton)
● Sky Blue Balloon (cotton)
● Sunshine Yellow (cotton)

I thought that I would talk to you about some things that I like to do in my personal time when I am not preparing orders or sewing for Bolts & Bee’s.

Ever since I started sewing in college, I loved the idea of making costumes. In the past 9 years, I have made about 50 costumes and 100 items of clothing whether for me or friends. From capes to 50s-inspired overalls, medieval dresses & ball gowns.

In the past year, I have started to enjoy going to Armageddon and similar events. In August I went dressed as a pirate with a dinosaur on my shoulder called a Parrott. In February I spent 2 weeks working on making the 5ths Doctor's outfit for a Doctor Who event.

Finally feels like we are actually getting started, can’t wait to see what new things this year has in store for all of us. So what’s coming up for Bolts & Bees?

👗We'll be introducing some exciting new patterns, expanding the website with many new creations, and even growing our market stall.

🛍️ Our stall is being renamed ‘Bolts & Bees Boutique’, as we're expanding to showcase other beautiful brands that join us at our markets. This year we'll be participating in fewer markets as we focus more on growing our online audience. We'll continue attending the Waikane Community Fair and some other local markets throughout the year. We're also keen to participate in the Manawatu craft and food fair for their September and Christmas markets, but haven't confirmed yet (we'll keep you updated).

🏃‍♂️👩🏽‍💻Coming soon to the website are all the brand-new styles we worked on last year and sneaky surprises we are preparing for our Autumn & Winter releases.

Just before Christmas, we ventured into making some beautiful pinafore aprons for adults, and they were a hit! I was thrilled with the turnout, so watch this space in the coming months as we venture into new areas… 👀

If you would like some clothing made for your little ones in time for Christmas, you have until the 4th of December to make your order to ensure that you get it on time. For customers living within the Kapiti Coast region, you have until the 11th of December.

Shipping:
Cost $7-$14 (extra for rural)
Orders from outside Kapiti will be shipped by Dec 8th.
Orders within Kapiti Coast will be delivered by Dec 18th.

Bolts & Bee’s are at the Waikanae Community Fair Christmas Market!!!

We will be at the Kapiti Vaulting Club, 13B Nimmo Ave West, Waikanae, 11am-2pm.

Selling many new and exciting items only available at markets and also offering an outfit discount, pinafore and top of your choosing for only $80, or $85 for a double-layered skirt (originally valued at $95-$105). You can also make this an order if we don’t have the colours or sizes available.

If you have any sewing requests for Christmas, this is your last chance to order them for people outside of the Kapiti Coast area to get them in time for Christmas. We also do free shipping from Paekakariki to Otaki.

We now have a book that you can look through and make an orders as well.

Later this week we will be putting a post up for you guys to make orders for Christmas.

Last day for Bolts & Bee’s in the Kapiti Cost Art Trail. These two weekends have been awesome and I hope you have had a good look around.

If you haven't had a chance to go see our stuff, it's at Kapiti Youth Support, 15 Tutanekai Street. There we have a whole bunch of new items and an ordering book that you can make orders through if you wish, especially for some Christmas gifts.

It’s been a while but I am back!

I have been busy working out what to bring you this summer, from clothing and homeware to decorations and much more.

We have NEW lightweight summer Penny Pinafores and matching rompers, a large range of different tops with over 6 colours to choose from. More forget-me-not skirts with an array of bright colours. Also in the pipeline are some boy’s clothes we are hoping to release in January, so keep an eye out for them. A majority of our stuff is not on our website, but coming soon. If you see anything at the market that isn’t currently listed online, just let us know and we will be happy to help you.
