Bay of Plenty is growing, and we require a passionate reliever to join our team!
The main benefit of working as a reliever is flexibility. This position would suit a reliever who would enjoy the opportunity to gain experience at lots of different home settings, rather than working solely in one.
Our Educators have their own philosophies and educational focuses. As a Visiting teacher it is a privilege to be a part of each learning environment. This gives each Educator a different look and feel. You gain the opportunity to see various philosophies in action and lead professional learning discussions through monthly reporting.
As a reliever we need someone, we contact you and book you in for a set number of hours. It also means there is some flexibility of how you work these hours. Travel is required around the Bay of Plenty & Waikato region and hours are negotiable for this position.
Seeking a reliever with excellent leadership skills, a sense of humour, excellent organisation, time management and IT skills.
If so, then you will be responsible for:
• Visiting educators, children, and families
• Home safety checks
• Writing learning stories
• Preparing programme plans
• Be flexible with days and hours of work
Applicants must have
• A current practising certificate
• Excellent verbal, written and online communication skills
• Self-motivation and a positive, focused approach
• A clean NZ drivers’ licence
• Drive a manual car (an advantage)
• Experience in mentoring and coaching adults (an advantage)
• Must have a full license and able to drive a manual car.

JeMMa’s celebrates 20 years as a provider of quality Homebased Childcare. Established in the year 2000 by Jenny Tyrrell a Kindergarten Teacher and husband Martin an accountant. They have always believed that Homebased Childcare was the next best alternative to learning at home with Whanau. Offering home like environments and small group sizes.
JeMMa’s started on the kitchen table as a privately owned Early Childhood Service licenced with the Ministry of Education and now has offices in Henderson (servicing the Greater Auckland areas) Matamata (servicing the Waikato area) Tauranga (servicing the Western Bay of Plenty including Katikati, Waihi and Paeroa and Thames (servicing Thames and the Hauraki )
Now 20 years later JeMMa’s remain a high quality successful service, Jenny and Martin have retired but the family business continues with Treena their daughter taking over the reins as General Manager.

Shelina came by to say hello and she felt sad to see her space turned upside down as we moved from our office of 8 years to a new building next door! We were happy to see Shelina and we value our relationship with such a amazing kaiako. Shelina is definitely apart of our jemmas whānau as you all are! For those who dont know Shelina she was once our South coordinator and left to mentor others in our profession. Isnt it cool that we still unite and share the love 😘.

BOP celebration Dinner at Burger Burger. Every year around the sun we get together and enjoy one anothers company! These ladies do such an amazing job and I really admire the mahi they do and how much they are willing to learn! Our lovely Adele is missing from here but she is appreciated too!
