Our classic gin raspberry sour just got a dark spooky twist! Meet the Black Widow Sour, the perfect cocktail to raise your spirits this Halloween. We’ve kept the smooth gin and fresh raspberry base but added a little activated charcoal to make it spooky an eerie, dark hue and a hint of midnight magic.

This one is a special brew - and probably the last keg of it. We have had a taste and it is incrediable - not suprising as it won the best stout in this years awards!


The Pacific Ocean is by far the largest and deepest ocean of the planet. At its deepest point of 11000m any sunlight is scattered and absorbed long ago and leaves it in complete darkness. This Dessert Stout is a homage to all its shades and flavours.

We layered various types of malt to create a smooth and luscious base in order to let ingredients from different islands within the Pacific Ocean shine.

Vanilla sourced from Heilala, a Tauranga-based company deeply connected with Tongan communities. Cacao nibs from the Solomon Islands roasted down the road by Solomons Gold. Coconut from the Philippines and Navel Oranges grown here in New Zealand. A small dose of Pacific Jade as our choice of hops.

ATLANTA BRIGHT IPA 4.6% 🍺 ON TAP NOW!!!

Alive and loud, like the city it’s named after this beer is dynamic and vibrant, bursting with tropical notes of passionfruit, lemon, lime, grapefruit and ripe orchard fruit from the Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Riwaka hops. Easy-drinking and super delish!

TRAIL RUN / SHOE DEMO !!

The first weekend of spring is fast approaching and we’re super stoked to be bringing forward our first colab of the new season.

On the 8th of September OBRC is gonna be hitting the trails for a group trail run. Don’t have shoes? no problem! Our mates at will be providing demo pairs of their cloud ultra 2 and cloud surfer trail for you to run in (use the link in bio to reserve a pair or first come first serve).

We’ll be putting on some oats and drinks from and then rendesvousing back at for a couple beers.

It’s gonna be an awesome little morning out.

Imperial Barrel Aged Porter

This is our heavy hitter in the Barrel-Aged August Series - coming in at 10.6% it is thick and packs a lot of flavour. Definitely one to be sipped on.

A complex blend of caramel sweetness with roasted malts and coconut sugar aged in French Oak barrels previously occupied with Merlot.
Experience oak, plum, and chocolate on the nose before savouring a rounded and luxurious flavour profile with notes of chocolate and hazelnut, utilising the properties of black forest rye and Vienna malts.

A Good Fight Beer Fundraiser

First Pour - Two hazy beers - one made in south island and one in the north 8 WIRED BREWING. These beers are made for The Good Fight project - a project which helps fundraise for educational material to create a positive change in the New Zealand brewing industry.
