Unwind and reset with Yoga for everybody - from just starting out to a little experienced. Whangaparaoa Community Hall. 717 Whangaparaoa Road.

$10 Saturday Sessions 8:30 am - for an hour of self-compassion.

I trained to advanced Yoga level with the Sri Sri School of Yoga, and have been practicing Yoga for over 22 years.

Each session incorporates breathing, stretches, postures, relaxation - with guidance to suit all levels.
'The whole practice of Yoga is to strengthen us in the body and the mind, and give us the strength to face any situation.'

This practice will help you to -
+ Calm the mind and get rid of emotional tensions.
+ Improve your respiration by enhancing your breathing.
+ Bring a balance to your system.
+ Flush out toxins from the body.
+ Enhance the functioning of the glands, that can help boost the immune system.
+ Aid tissue and cell regeneration and assist the body to function in a more efficient way.

BYO - Mat. A blanket for cool-down is optional if you'd like.

Let go and feel more Freedom.

In a compassionate and safe space, we feel a sense of being empathised with, as Havening Techniques works on the past experiences causing us to feel tension today.

We don't need to feel distress for more than a moment in any session, to neutralise it with an electro-chemical process from this scientifically-developed soothing touch. All while our mind is distracted with verbal guidance; we gently reprocess memories in our subconscious with the negative impacts removed.

I don't know, but.. does it beg for a label?

See the world through your heart and then you will find that there is so much beauty, love, innocence and good intentions in people.
If we see the same world through the head then we find a lot of cunningness, mistrust and doubts. If you see the world through your heart, it is very different.
But both are needed. You canā€™t be naĆÆve and see the world only through the glasses of the heart. Sometimes you need to see through the head.
There are some who are stuck in their head and some who are always in an emotional mess. Both are incomplete. Yoga is that perfect balance between the head and the heart.

Yoga and Meditation (and Prayer) support a quiet mind and open heart. More peace in our mind uses less energy, leaving space for greater dynamism in life.

Havening Touch can also transform our mind state. By moving our autonomic nervous system from sympathetic (fight or flight) reactivity, to parasympathetic (rest & digest), we become able to pause and respond.

When our whole system is more calm it also has greater capacity for self-healing in our own time.
