You are creative, hard working, solution focused and looking for something a little bit different.
You may have extensive experience or just a keen interest in all things food or somewhere in the middle.

The position would be a mix of day and evening shifts with plenty of variety.

Dine at your place or ours - you can choose the comfort of your own home or try out one of our unique venues accross canterbury

One of the main events in the Base Food by Fire and calendar is coming up this weekend!
Fire and Feast is happening this Saturday and Sunday, the 4th and 5th of May.
If you've already got your tickets, you're in for quite an experience! If you haven't... well... the clock is ticking .
Set amongst the beautiful backdrop of the bone line vineyard , with a 4 course dining experience cooked on site by our chefs, add to that the comfort of being hosted inside our tipis ( so it doesn't matter that it might be cold).. it's a totally unique experience! AND... we have entertainment thanks to local band The Eastern 👌 👏 😍

Kitchen Hands and Prep Chefs

Casual and part time positions available We create a wide variety of food styles and menus from 5 course degustation diners to cocktail and canapes parties to our unique "Canape Show Case" At home delivery option.

Reporting directly to and working alongside the Owner and Head Chef. The working week would be a mix of prep shifts at our main kitchen on the city fringes in Philipstown and onsite delivering events with our team.

You will be hard-working with excellent attention to detail with a desire to enhance our customers experience exceeding their expectations at all times.

You will be flexible and solution driven in attitude to thrive in the ever changing events landscape.

Your working week will be varied but shifts available are mostly Tuesday - Saturday with a mixture or daytime and evening shifts.

You will have the legal ability to work in NZ - Working holiday visas accepted as seasonal position
