A new lease of life for this house with a view..

We recently completed an extension/ renovation on this late 90s brick home.
Extending the roof line north and the use of large glass sliders opens the living area out to the new garapa deck and the panoramic views of the bay.
A new kitchen, laundry, master bed and ensuite, along with oak flooring and a splash of paint, has given this home a new lease of life.
On the exterior new joinery throughout and the use of Accoya cladding has really modernized the look of this family home.

It has been a bit of a process to get to this point.
Building on a site of historical interest had its challenges. Archeologists worked alongside local Iwi to identify, record and remove any finds of cultural significance.
Now we have our excavators in stripping back and removing all the organic matter to get to hard bearing clay. From there, we will build back up..
