The Hamilton Danish Society was founded in 1967. We are a small club that runs an active program.
Occasionally we do excursions to different places around the Waikato, have evenings out at the movies or get together at the homes of members.

Well, that's what I call a successful quiz night, if I may say so. 4 tables with each 5 quizzers, questions about things you actually want to know about and a very nice tasting meal first! I think we might keep that one on repeat. But to think only 1 team got the height of Himmel Bjerget correct, that was a surprise! Anyhow, afterwards the spotprizes were shared, tables pushed together and some drinks ordered - fine way to end a fun evening out.

A few photos from our latest event, the Pot Luck dinner at Karsten and Anne's house. I think everyone had thought that no one else was bringing desert, which meant the desert table was bigger than the mains table but by then we were not as hungry! Such a pity, the choice was exceptional! Lots of talk around the table, one end louder than the other! Great to see you all there.

Dual citizenship is now possible!🥳 Former Danish nationals, who lost their Danish citizenship by acquiring a foreign citizenship before 1 September 2015, can again, in a five-year period, from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2026, apply for reacquisition of Danish citizenship by declaration.✒️
