Another winery on our distribution list is , and their story is one of adventure, dedication, and a deep love for crafting exceptional wines.
Nestled in the heart of Marlborough's wine country, Whitehaven Wines is a testament to the passion and adventurous spirit of Sue and Greg White. Founded in 1994, this family-owned winery was born from their incredible Pacific sailing journey. As they traversed the open waters, a storm led them to seek shelter in the tranquil Marlborough Sounds, which would become their haven and the inspiration behind the winery's name.
The Greg Label, distinguished by its black design, pays homage to Sue's late husband and offers a remarkable collection of handcrafted wines. Among these, the 2017 Sauvignon Blanc, crafted from fruit sourced from the pristine Awatere Valley, showcases the unique fruit flavors of the region. It's no surprise that this exceptional wine was awarded the prestigious Sauvignon Blanc honor at the Air New Zealand wine show.
If you're a fan of Pinot Noir, Whitehaven's offering, grown in the Southern Valleys of the Wairau Valley, is a treat for your palate. With enchanting cherry and plum flavors, this wine promises to age beautifully until 2023.

As a distributor , I love getting to know the winemakers and the stories behind the incredible wines we sell.
One of the beautiful stories I’ve had the honour of learning , is of Chris and Jill Harrison's journey with , which began at Roseworthy College in Adelaide, where they both studied winemaking. In 1996, they founded Beach House Wines in Hawkes Bay, planting 10 acres of red grapes and raising their children, Brittany and Angus. Their vision of a relaxed Kiwi beach lifestyle drew in Chris' parents, Ralph and Philippa, who established the Levels Vineyard nearby.
Over the years, Beach House Wines evolved in quality and community involvement, with friends and neighbors helping during harvest time. In 2008, they expanded with Beach House Winery in Gimblett Gravels.
In 2019, the Levels Vineyard and Cellar Door was sold following the passing of matriarch Philippa Harrison, who played a vital role in Beach House's success. Her memory lives on through her exceptional cooking during vintage.
Today, Chris and Jill focus on Gimblett Gravels and Ohiti Road growers, promising high-quality wines and exciting releases in 2020. Their journey continues, carrying forward the legacy of Beach House Wines. ♥️

The is one of those hidden gems in the Bay of Plenty. Set amongst the beautiful hills and orchard of Te Puna, it is a working cidery making award winning ciders all year around, along with a Cellar Door that is a local weekend hot-spot serving up delicious kai and tasting paddles of their ciders made right on site.
Their Story :
Owners, Rowena & Simon began in the world of wine, filled with the excitement of alternating hemispheres for two annual vintages and the joy of traveling. However, the 2008 Global Financial Crisis brought their wine adventure to an abrupt halt, leaving them facing a job market with no prospects. Armed with qualifications and experience, they recognized the need to pivot and reimagine their future.
After thorough research and planning, they ventured into the world of cider in New Zealand. It was a natural fit for their skills and a promising opportunity in a budding cider market. They returned to their family property in 2011, determined to craft traditional, locally sourced ciders known for their cleanliness, dryness, refreshment, and affordability. Their cider journey, initially branded as O Cider, evolved, leading to a rebranding as The Cider Factorie in 2017, in an avocado packhouse. Today, they proudly produce 8-12 different ciders annually, promoting the use of locally sourced fruit—a rarity in the New Zealand cider scene. Their commitment to cider and hospitality shines as they continue to grow, crafting award-winning ciders that embody New Zealand's cider-making heritage.

We had such an amazing night at first in the new event series ‘ Cellar’ which allows winemakers from around the country to come to the Bay of Plenty and tell their story to the locals here , while showcasing their beautiful wine selections.
I was the MC for the event , and had the opportunity to spend the day in the trade with Hayden Johnston from Tarras / Kuru Kuru wines before his evening as a guest winemaker at Cellar.
Hayden is a winemaker with a remarkable heritage. Following a life-changing accident in London, he returned to Otago and planted the iconic Tarras Vineyards in Bendigo, Central Otago, in 2002. The Canyon, the home vineyard, produces outstanding Pinot Noir wines known for their floral aromas, intense fruit, and impressive aging potential.
Kuru Kuru Wines, another venture, pays tribute to Hayden's ancestors. Captain James Joss and Kuru Kuru, his Maori grandmother, inspired these wines. Their legacy dates back to 1836 when they farmed on Stewart Island, New Zealand. Each bottle showcases Kuru Kuru's moko kauae, symbolizing her esteemed position in Maori society. Notably, Kuru Kuru Wines has received accolades, including an Elite Gold at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards for their 2014 Pinot Noir. Hayden's dedication to quality and heritage shines through in these exceptional wines. 🍷

Based in Tāmaki Makaurau , has emerged as an award winning trailblazer in the world of handcrafted spirits and we are so proud to distribute for them.
Their unwavering commitment to transparency and integrity is the driving force behind their journey. Unlike many in the industry, they've consciously chosen quality over scalability.
Their story begins with a meticulous selection of Aotearoa’s finest seasonal ingredients. Lemons and oranges, lovingly grown in local orchards, hand-picked cherries from Central Otago, and ethically sourced honey all find their way into their creations. The aim isn't just to make exceptional spirits but also to foster local businesses and grow the New Zealand economy.
What sets them apart is their dedication to time-honored traditions. They use sugar cane ethanol, a method reminiscent of the 1900s, a rare find in New Zealand where most opt for the alternative whey ethanol made from milk. Furthermore, their still is a true testament to craftsmanship, custom-built right here in Aotearoa, supporting grassroots distilling.
