Time to say goodbye to our latest bunch of pharmacy students . Feeling the love from them as each group said their goodbyes. It’s such a privilege to be a part of their pharmacy journey. We’ll miss each and every one of them.
Megan waited a long time for this day to come .....and it was totally worth the wait! www.lochendwoolshed.co.nz is a new addition to the Dunedin wedding scene and it is stunning. Dunedin's Lochend Woolshed won the outstanding wedding reception venue category at this year's New Zealand Wedding Industry Awards. An awesome achievement for such a new venue. Well done Julz and Mark.
The day was a bit chilly but did nothing to dampen Megan and Hayden's celebrations which were filled to the brim with good friends and family. Megan's smile is infectious and she just sparkles around Hayden and they spent most of the day laughing with one another - a great start to married life! On the plus side - it made my job so easy and a lot of fun too.

Holly & Hayden's Wedding. It's been a long wait between weddings - we can blame that on full-time working and a bit of Covid. I can promise you that this wedding is totally worth the long wait. See more over on my blog. www.lisareidphotography.co.nz
It's so good to be back after a long Winter break. Rebecca and Sam said "I Do" on Friday and here's a wee sneak peek of their gorgeous day. The sun shone brightly and Grandview Gardens looked amazing as always. Rebecca, Sam and little Ollie were so awesome to work with - looking forward to showing you the rest of their photos really soon.
A little midweek cuteness from Annabelle and her teeny tiny brother Ethan. Newborn photography is one of my passions and I'm really sad that my girls came along before I realised that. It's such a special time to document and these two were super awesome at being cute.
Nadia and Hisa have just welcomed little Niva into their family. She is totally gorgeous and I just loved seeing how much she is loved by her mummy and daddy. Niva is surrounded by so much love and it was very special to be able to capture it all.
Loved the chance to meet Kim and Jake's little one. Georgie is so cute and possibly the freshest baby I've ever photographed at a very new five days old. This new mumma looked totally amazing given that she'd done one of the hardest and most incredible things us girls can do and it was only a few days earlier. Georgie was brilliant, totally relaxed and oblivious to the fact that she was the centre of attention. A big thanks to Kim's mum who came and helped out with keeping big sister Riley entertained while the photoshoot took place. Little ones who have only just turned two often find a full on photoshoot a little boring. Wishing this little family a sweet journey as they welcome Georgie into their nest. I have to admit to getting a wee bit mushy when I see families like this - brings back the days when my girls were this tiny. It was lovely being able to work with you all - such a special time. xox
Kim and Jake and big sister in waiting Riley popped down to see me on the farm for some photos of Kim's "baby bump". I was recovering from surgery and really enjoyed the chance to get outside and talk to people. Six weeks is a really long time to be out of action and away from the action. These guys were super awesome and made my job so much fun. Can't wait for you all to meet their little one.
A fantastic wedding to end the wedding season on. I first met Izzy and Sam at Annelise and Pieter's wedding a while back and I was super excited when they asked me to photography their wedding. It turned out that I had every reason to be excited - this wedding had all of the things I really love about weddings wrapped up in one beautiful package. Mostly though, I love how much Izzy and Sam adore one another and I wish them a lifetime and more of happiness together.
It's almost Graduation time again so I thought I'd pop up a few little gems in case you're looking for a photographer to capture you graduation celebrations. A graduation session includes all edited images on a flash drive and an hour of photography time. Prints can be added to each package.
A truly beautiful couple – inside and out.
They are better together and it really shows in the way they are around each other.
It’s all about being each others true love, best friend and biggest fan.
This is going to be an epic journey filled with laughter, adventures, fun and a whole lot of love.
Wishing you both a very happy ever after….
Kylie and Spencer said "I DO" yesterday at the gorgeous Grandview Gardens. We had the most amazing time celebrating their wedding. Kylie and Spence have been together forever - they've grown together, travelled together, started a business together and they make a totally awesome team. Looking forward to see what this next chapter of their life will bring. Congratulations Kylie, Spencer and little Paige and thanks for sharing your day with us.
Tracy and Luke got married a couple of days before Christmas at the gorgeous Grandview Gardens near Outram. Finally....I can show you what I've been up to at my computer and let you all see the images from their fabulous day. It was super special to see how excited Holly and Max were that their Mum was marrying Luke and how cute little Alabamah was watching her mum and dad tie the knot. A beautiful wee family and so special being able to share in this celebration with them all. I could chat more (much more) about how awesome this day was but I think it's better if you just take a look at a wee selection of my favourite photos from their day. Now when I say "wee selection" I really mean a great big, massive, huge selection. Enjoy!
Happy New Year and welcome to twenty19. My first photography post for the year is a super sweet one of little Paige. She was a tiny superstar and almost slept right through her first family portrait session. Spencer and Kylie were superstars back in Autumn at their own engagement portrait session and in not too many more weeks they'll be in front of my camera once more on their wedding day. Hope you enjoy a little bit of cuteness on this warm Saturday.
I have a Christmas present for you.... a little sneak peek of Tracy and Luke's beautiful Grandview Gardens wedding. A wedding filled with love and good times. Can't wait to show you the rest of the day's celebrations. But right now I'm planning on a couple of days off before I get back to my computer and the ever increasing pile of editing that needs my attention. Merry Christmas my friends. xox
Summer walks are just so pretty. Loving a field of foxgloves. Amazing!
A teeny tiny little person has arrived into Jess and Craig's family. Luca was only seven days new when I got to pop round to their place for some cuddles (and a few photos too) but mostly it was just about the cuddles. He was just so cute, I couldn't resist. Here's a little sneak peek of this adorable family for a little late night cuteness. Jackson is over the moon to be a big brother I bet these little boys will keep their parents on their toes. A huge thanks to Grannie Carol for her help as an assistant, entertainer and coffee supplier to keep us all going. Thanks heaps guys for another awesome photoshoot. Xox
I was a little bit excited when I was asked to work with Sam and Kate on their wedding day. I've watched Sam grow up in our church family so it was extra special to be able to share their wedding day with them. Sam and Kate met at high school and the rest is history - a little bit like Rob and I - it was even the same high school. I had so much fun celebrating young love with Sam and Kate and their awesome friends and I just wanted to share some images from this special day. Just a quick warning - I like sharing - A LOT - and this is no exception. Pull up a really comfy chair and maybe a cuppa too - it's gonna be a long one. Thanks heaps to Sam and Kate, their friends and families for making this day so beautiful.
A little sneak peek from Sam & Kate's stunning September wedding. I've got a million and one photos to edit from this awesome day but I couldn't resist a quick share to keep you all going until the editing is done.
This is little Brooklyn and she is just adorable - her big eyes take in absolutely everything and she seems much older and wiser than she is.
It was a super fun afternoon playing with some of the props her mum Philippa had organised and creating something a little bit different for her family to enjoy. Teeny tiny people are the best and Brooklyn you are a treasure.
And a little bit of spring cuteness to get your week off
to a good start. One of our ducks has just surprised us with these littles bundles of fluffiness.
We've just spent a gorgeous sunshiney weekend with the hockey girls in Timaru. Here's a few photos of them in action against Southland, Central Otago and South Canterbury. Off to Gore next weekend.
A huge thank you to coach Shirley Gillett and manager Catherine Meltzer.
I've just spent a week away with the Columba College First XI in Whangarei. The lead up to tournament seemed filled with disasters - both Holly our goalie and Ellie our Captain couldn't be with the team due to illness and then Ben our coach got sick and couldn't come either.
At the last minute the amazing Madi Doar (Black Stick and "Super Coach") stepped up to help our team. The girls had an amazing week of hockey and fun with Madi and Dayna Turnbull our Director of Sports. The hockey was outstanding and the team came away with Bronze Medals in the Marie Fry Competition. You all triumphed over your challenges and came away stronger and more resilient than ever. Beyond proud of each and every one of you.
We are at the Dunedin Wedding Show today. Doors open at 10 and we’ll be here until 2.30. Come down for a chat if you’re still looking for a photographer for your wedding day.
A wee sneak peek of Kylie and Spencer's engagement session. Some lovely autumnal light and plenty of leaves - my favourite time of the year. Looking forward to their wedding....
I caught up with Lana and Jacko for a portrait session in Cromwell a few days ago. I thought it was going to be a little session for them and two year old Skyla - I was super surprised to find out that there was a very cute new addition to their wee family - Tahlia. What an awesome treat - two little girls to photograph.
Not only did they surprise me with their new baby they also picked the most stunning spot for their photos.
You guys are superstars. Thanks so much for a great afternoon.
Last year I was contacted by Fairfield School asking if I would donate a portrait session for their art auction. Being my old school and all - how could I say no? This awesome family managed to walk away with the portrait session and we had a great time creating some memories for them to cherish. As a little token of my appreciation for memories I created at Fairfield School - I would like to offer any Fairfield families the opportunity to create their own family portrait memories with me. I am offering you all a 20% discount for any bookings made by the end of July 2018. You can see the rest of this portrait session over on my blog at www.lisareidphotography.co.nz
Photographing newborns is one of my favourite things and this session with little Aaliyah was filled with sugar and spice and all things nice. She is totally gorgeous and she totally rocked her first ever portrait session. Do I have the best job? Absolutely! Thanks so much to Lisa and Damien for letting me hang out with their precious little bundle.
A fantastic weekend of hockey in Oamaru with the Southern Hockey girls. Winter sport and some winter temperatures to go with it. So glad to have invested in some warm fluffy boots for this season on the sideline. Thanks to all the teams who played in the competition providing us with some awesome hockey.
