Fired Earth and stone
Fired Earth and Stone is a small home pottery studio in Rolleston, NZ. I make original ceramic trinkets, gifts and home decor.
Each piece is handmade so no two pieces are identical, I enjoy creating original, fun pieces and using lots of vibrant colour.
I have just received my new brochures and I love them. #
Our Windchimes are perfect for inside or outside, several leaves in shades of green hang from a beautiful big leaf at the top. Watch them sway as the leaves brush against each other creating a gentle sound.
I’ve just added some more of my bird decorations to the website, more new products will be added soon.
I plan on increasing my spirit and motivate my life today, gonna get my hands dirty with some clay.
I use a lot of green on my ceramics, there are so many beautiful shades to mix and blend. I use .underglaze, they’re perfect for bright vibrant colour.

I love making my bird decorations, giving each one a unique design and different colour variations. This one is probably the most colourful so far.

Our Story
It's been a crazy year, trying to decide on a business name, trying to decide on what products I want to make. That's where my problem began, the problem being that I can't limit myself to just making one type of product because I love working with so many different materials and creating something totally unique with them.
My next problem was, do I get a website, where to I sell my products, I'm going to need business cards, email, page, bank account, logo, photo's and all the other things that go with it.
One thing I hadn't taken into account was my mental health, the reason I find crafting so satisfying and in a lot of ways, healing. I realized that every time I put pressure on myself to 'be a business', I was getting myself into a panic about all of those things that I thought I needed to do. To add to that I've been unable to commit to markets and craft fairs, unfortunately with anxiety and chronic fatigue it's very hard to predict in advance if you're going to be' up to it' on the day.
So, I find myself scrolling through Facebook and Instagram and seeing how successful everyone else seemed to be doing, it made me feel like I needed to do more but I was going around in circles and getting myself in a complete kerfuffle.
