Hooray hurrah!

A massive thank you to North Shore voters for backing Richard Hills and I to be your councillors for the next three years.

We stayed positive the course of this election campaign and batted it straight all the way. Thanks for backing our ideas for progressing the Shore and wider Auckland. We have big things to take on and we will.

Deep gratitude to the beautiful people that gave their all for me and Richard. I have not seen much of my family for the last four months, so biggest shout out of appreciation goes to Diana, Isla, Ana and Taija.

There are so many other individuals I would like to list here that have contributed so massively. Another post coming for that.

To all the candidates that stood for council and local board positions across Auckland, a big acknowledgement for having the courage to put your name forward. Congrats to the successful ones who together we are charged with shaping Auckland these next three years and beyond. It is a huge responsibility for us all.

I look forward now to getting around the council table and at my two local boards to do our very best for the people of the North Shore and Auckland.

Thank you - thank you.

Preliminary results as of today are;
Richard Hills: 15,803
Chris Darby: 14, 803
Danielle Grant: 12,796
Grant Gillon: 12,280

Thriving Communities focuses on building on the strengths, people and groups that already exist within our communities.

Let's create vibrant town centres, with great public spaces, market squares and residential life, to prepare for the onslaught of online retail.

I will secure a fair share of funding for the Shore and demand an accountable, public-facing council that listens to communities.

With your support I will continue to provide big-picture vision and the leadership to tackle the issues and take the Shore forward.

In Auckland, we’ve always assumed that our beaches are swimmable.

Many of our beaches aren’t as clean as we thought they were.

So we’ve got to address that beach water quality challenge.

Time’s up, we’ve got to face up now, to the enormous environmental challenges facing Auckland.

Let’s stop wastewater overflows and have swimmable beaches for all of us, all of the time.

With your support, I will continue to provide big-picture vision and the leadership to tackle the issues and take the Shore forward.

Transport underpins how a city unfolds.

Let's make the Shore and the whole of Auckland super-connected with outstanding public transport.

Let's make public transport more affordable and accessible to decongest our roads, with fare-free travel for children, reliable ferries and electric buses.

Let's transform living on the Shore with modern light-rail.

With your vote of support, I will continue to provide big-picture vision and the leadership to tackle the issues and take the Shore forward.

Hi all. It’s coming up voting time and it’s your opportunity to help direct the future of the North Shore and Auckland. Big thanks to everybody who backed me last time and take on the big issues facing Auckland.

I’m seeking your support to carry on and get stuck in for another three years. Thanks for your consideration and support. There are massive challenges ahead and as always I will be mapping a positive pathway for us all, and the generations to come.
