My Journey
Worthy hails from Auckland, New Zealand but was born on the East Coast of America. He is the CEO & Founder of Coastal Promotions alongside close friend and Co-Founder Elisara.
Worthy started his pursuit into DJ’ing back in 2015 while still at high-school. For years he was a “controller solider”, working tirelessly to perfect his craft with whatever equipment he could get his hands on. After moving to Wellington to study Commercial Music/ Music Industry and following his dreams within the music industry, he was able to hone his skills and start performing at flat party’s across the city with friends who would later form the Coastal Collective.
After DJ’ing in numerous dingy flats, he had the desire to perform on the live stage professionalise his and his crews creative pursuit. From this desire Coastal Promotions and the Heavy Rollers series was born. Starting in Wellington it eventually made its way to Dunedin, Christchurch and Auckland, with all events selling out in advance. Heavy Rollers laid the foundation for Worthy and the Coastal Collective to thrive within the scene, and the rest is history.
Now infamously known for a versatile set covering the full spectrum of the versatile sub-genres of Drum and Bass. Worthy has opened for the likes of S.P.Y, Turno, Bou, DJ Marky, Dimension, Culture Shock, Skeptical and BCee & LSB. Being the head of Coastal he also self -runs the some of the best student and international artist Drum and Bass gigs to ever grace New Zealand shores.
